Prairie wind & her old salt/usnr

I meant to ask you, I had a great uncle by the name of Charles Adair, I know his mother's maiden name was Strickland, might he be related to your Adair's? let me know as I have no other info on him and would like to fill in the gaps. He was married to my Aunt Neva (Price) they were from Ohio. I have heard that he was related to "Red" Adair, but not 100% sure of that. I believe he has/had 2 son's who lived in Southern Calif., but again I am not sure.

And again welcome. When I visit a cemetery, I try and take photos of the surrounding headstones, especially if they are related. I am so glad that I helped to fill in your family tree. If you need any other photos, drop me a note, I am only about 75 miles from the cemetery.

Hi Kathy

I was so happy to fill your request. Before we/I go out to a cemetery I always read the memorial and make notes. I am glad that I was able to include the other photo for you.

RE: Thank you
Are you sure this is the correct Dora Taylor? I couldn't read the inscription when I was there but when I zoom in on the photo it appears to read:

Aug. 2 1863
Sept. 21 1863

This cemetery is managed by the Leroy Township supervisor. He can be reached at 269-979-9421 or

Also, in the same plot there was a Rebecca, 1862 - 1872, Mother Martha, 1836 - 1886 and a father Albert(?), 1832 - 1896.

In a different plot there is a Hattie, 1869 - 1958 and a Herbert S., 1859 - 1916.

I have pics of all headstones so if you want them let me know and I will get them to you.

I hope I was of some help to your search.

Taylors in Gerrish Township Cemetery
Hi Kathy,

I'm so, so sorry for taking so long, but I've transferred both Viola and William Taylor's memorials to you.

Vincent Toomey
Can you tell me if Vincent Toomey is the Vince Toomey who went to Morningside High School in Inglewood, CA? Will you respond to, please? Thank you.
