Blessed are the great grandmothers, who hoarded newspaper clippings and old letters, for they tell the story of their time.

Blessed are all the grandfathers who filed every legal document, for this provides proof.

Blessed are grandmothers who preserve family Bibles and diaries, for this is our heritage.

Blessed are father who elect officials that answer letter of inquiry, for some, this is their only link to the past.

Blessed are mothers who relate family traditions and legends to the family, for one of her children will surely remember.

Blessed are the relatives who fill in family sheets with extra data, for them we owe the family history.

Blessed is any family whose members strive for the preservation of records, for theirs is a labour of love.

Blessed are the children who will never say, "Grandma, you have told that old story twice today."

Curtis Joseph Chaplin 172215633
The obit for Curtis Joseph Chaplin states the interment will be at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery; you have "burial unknown"
When you make this correction , I'll be glad to delete the memorial I had added for Mr. Chaplin - he attended my church

James A Robinson
I tried your personal mail but it came back to me so....
Hopefully you are related to this family and could help my stone wall!

I am writing to you about James A Robinson and his sister Margaret C Robinson. Margaret C Robinson married William Frank Clifton 15 Sep 1881 Bienville Louisiana and died 01 Jun 1931 in Monroe, Ouachita, Louisiana. Margaret was born in Mississippi 28 July 1856. I found her listed with her brother James A Robinson and father Josiah Robinson in the 1860 Census of Itawamba, Mississippi, with a possible link to Augustin and Rachel Robinson as being his parents. Also, I have a marriage of Josiah J Robinson to Sarah E Miller on 12 Jul 1855 in Itawamba, Mississippi

Findagrave memorial # 10390321, it states that James Allen Robinson married Nannie Sophronia Brister and on siblings Margaret Catherine is not listed. It also says that his father is James Simpson Robinson and mother Julia Ann Lawrence.

What I am trying to do is get the correct lineage for Margaret Catherine ROBINSON Clifton her Find A Grave Memorial# 14735112 as her grandson Billy Sheridan who is 85 years old is trying to get into the “Sons of the American Revolution”. I have tried with his paternal side with no luck so now I am trying with the maternal side.

Maybe I have two people mixed up but with the location being in Bienville and Winn Parish’s I thought I had it correct!
Please help me out here your thoughts would be much greatly appreciated.

I believe Minerva's date of death (1884) is incorrect on her page. It looks like 1881 on her stone with W.P. Burks and he married Louise Ledbetter in 1882. Just an observation.

William Pryor Ensminger Info
Hi Shirley
In the entry below you say that Mary was the daughter of Robert Bowman. How do you know this? Do you have any more info about Mary? Was she Mary Ann? And do you have any more info re Robert? His occupation? Any dates and places of birth?Anything in fact! Is this because you've seen the marriage certificate? Do you know how to get a copy?
Keep up the good work!

I just enlarged and enhanced the photo of his tombstone, and it does say 1814 is when he died.

RE: Find A Grave Memorial# 29759093
I believe the March 5,1795 date is the date he and Margaret married. He is in the 1800 and 1810 Federal Census Records in Sumter, South Carolina with the children and Margaret.

I have seen one record that says he died 5 Mar 1814 at Cherryvale Plantation, Sumter, South Carolina. I think this is more accurate.

Best regards,

For Henry Bradford Vaughan

If his date of death is correct, then none of the children listed as his can actually be his since they were all born well after he died.

There were at least two Henry Vaughan/Vaughn people living in Mississippi between ~1830-1870. One is the son of John Bradford Vaughn and the other was supposedly the son of Henry Bradford Vaughan. Both were from South Carolina. I am trying to figure them out. If Henry Bradford Vaughan died in 1795, then Henry Vaughn b 1800 cannot be his son, however.

If you have any information regarding these folks, I would appreciate hearing from you.

Best regards,
