BEATITUDES OF THE FAMILY GENEALOGIST|
Blessed are the great grandmothers, who hoarded newspaper clippings and old letters, for they tell the story of their time.
Blessed are all the grandfathers who filed every legal document, for this provides proof.
Blessed are grandmothers who preserve family Bibles and diaries, for this is our heritage.
Blessed are father who elect officials that answer letter of inquiry, for some, this is their only link to the past.
Blessed are mothers who relate family traditions and legends to the family, for one of her children will surely remember.
Blessed are the relatives who fill in family sheets with extra data, for them we owe the family history.
Blessed is any family whose members strive for the preservation of records, for theirs is a labour of love.
Blessed are the children who will never say, "Grandma, you have told that old story twice today."

|Connie ||Jelk's Memorials|
A few months back I received an email from a lady asking me about Capt. Joseph William Dorsey Jelks. She was interested to know just where he and his family are buried because there are two memorials for him.
I have created memorials and photographed the graves of Robert (107903988)and Capt.Joseph Jelks(107545568)in Oak Hill Cemetery in Union Springs,Alabama.
You have also created memorials for them but you have them (106883593 & 16545545)listed in Old Union Church Cemetery. I have been to Old Union in the past and I have posted photographs there as well. In looking back through all my photograph of Old Union Church Cemetery I don't see any for the Jelks.
Can you tell me how you came about building memorials for them in Old Union? I have been searching through my records and notes and can not find anything that places them there.
Your help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I am not sure who our mutual ancestor is (I believe it's William Robert Burks Sr.) but we are definitely distant cousins. Would love to exchange info with you.

Thank you for connecting my aunt to our family.
|JEAN ROCH||ROBERT HOLMES JOHNSON|
Would you know if Robert is the brother to
William "Billy" Bunton of Johnson County Tennessee?
Billy is my 3 Great Grandfather.
Thank you for the transfer
|Jayne Britt||Joseph W. Morrow Grave|
There is an inscription at the bottom of this grave which I cannot read - can you tell me what it says - it is on the base. The grave beside his is Amanda Jane Underwood and she was his wife does it not have Morrow on it?? I am confused because there is a marker supposedly for Joseph W Morrow in a cemetery here in Leake County which gives birth date of 25 Mar 1832 but the same death date as inscribed on this marker.

You are welcome, always like to ask, some people don't want them on memorials.
