Carroll misinformation
First of all, thank you for taking the time to add this stone and other stones to the web site. That is a great service.

On Find A Grave Memorial# 98318195 for Dennis Carroll, St. Mary's Cemetery, Stephenson County, Illinois, someone added the note:

Dennis was the son of John and Johanna (Buckley) Carroll. He married Mary. They had five children: Ellen, Daniel, Mary, Dennis and Hannah.

I wanted to point out that Dennis and Mary did have those children, but Dennis's parents were not John Carroll and Johanna Buckley. Besides finding other parents for Dennis and Mary, I have an email from someone with the user name WilliamCarroll53 (interested in Carroll, Buckley,
and Foley), on Ancestry. He wrote in March 2013: I'm particularly interested because I think that the Dennis Carroll buried in New Dublin (and who lived in Erin) was NOT the son of John Carroll and Johanna Buckley. I say that with some certainty because my 2xgreat-grandfather was Dennis Carroll, son of John and Johanna. He lived in Pleasant Valley and died in 1891, buried St. Patricks/Plum River. His wife was Bridget Foley.

So that would be two of us who feel this information is incorrect. Is there some way to remove the information?

Thank you

William Auman birthplace
Hello!

Thanks for updating Mary Alleman Auman's maiden name.

I thought I'd also mention that William Auman's birthplace is not Bellefonte, Centre County, PA. I know that birthplace has propagated through many ancestries, but I have done extensive research and he was born in either Berks County, PA or in Greenwood township, Mifflin (now Juniata), PA.

His father was Michael Auman who moved to Mifflin (now Juniata) about the time William was born. From the Juniata County Recorder's office a Power of Attorney clearly shows William Auman of Illinois was the son of Michael.

The Centre county Aumans are a different family that I have not been able to link to William.

Thanks.

Suggested bio form my great grandma Kate.

Rebecca Katherine (Kate) Fracher was born April 12, 1856 in Ward's Grove Township, Jo Daviess Co, IL about one mile southwest of Kent. She died March 16, 1942 of a stroke at the Morgan Nursing Home, Stockton, IL. She married David Clarence Kleckner on Thanksgiving Day, November 29, 1983 at Freeport, IL. The Fracher children changed the spelling of their name to Frazier. David and Kate were farmers and bought most of their land from the Lewis Fracher estate.

David and Kate build a big new house in 1908, which was their pride and joy, but the house caught fire in the summer of 1938 and it burned to the ground. Many family mementos were lost in the fire. Kate was considered the best cook in the neighborhood, and the neighbors often commented on how they enjoyed thrashing day at the D.C. Kleckner farm for the big noon feast.

Please link Aaron D Kleckner with his dad, John M Kleckner.
You have done some nice work here. I also saw your Thelma Finkenbinder picture that my dad showed me once. Thelma was Irene Kleckner Lyons daughter, my dads first cousin.
Very cool.

I keep bumping into you.
Nice work on Oscar, Cora and Merle Kleckner.
My dad used to visit Cora all the time. I got dragged along a few times too. I'm wondering where you fit in.

Frank F. Pickard's wife
Hello, you have Frank F. Pickard's wife as Laura Penticoff - 92488105. I was wondering if you have any data for that? My records indicate that his 2nd wife was Laura E. Phillips, born May 6, 1886 and died July 12, 1860. She was the daughter of Orange H. and March C. (Gable) Phillips.

Thanks!
