and Pisarawicz/Prsavage/Pisaravich/Pisarevich, Mazeika, Plauska, Podolski families from Detroit Michigan
and Papeika/McManus families from Derby Connecticut
I manage memorials in most cemeteries in Manistee County in Michigan and some cemeteries in Orange and Durham Counties in North Carolina. If you have corrections, please use the Edit Tab on the memorial, select Suggest a Correction and fill out the form at the bottom of the Edit window. This will supply me with your member number and a pointer of the memorial, so we can effectively make the appropriate corrections.

|newsoul||RE: Mary Birrell|
I have dug a bit deeper on this. Her father, Daniel Kurtti (53999866), is buried in Maple Grove also, as this was what I suspected would be the reason she would be buried there. I do see that Daniel remarried, and so far I cannot find any proof that Mary's mother even came over from Finland. (note the spelling of Kurtti)
Her first husband, Verne Dean Perrine (50063522), who she married in 1917 in Detroit, is buried in Pleasant Ridge, Isabella County. Verne was also married briefly to a Lois or Iris Preston (I haven't dug into that yet).
Glad to see we have this one corrected, as I had assumed all along that this was my great aunt Mary Laur. Amazing what can be learned from one obituary online.
I was introduced to the CONDOR newspaper project at CMU recently by the Grand Rapids genealogy librarian. If you didn't already know about it, it's quite useful: http://condor.cmich.edu/

If you look at this following edition of the Clare Sentinal, page 9, you will see that the corrections I have sent are accurate.
Looking further into it, the person who really is Mary Orilla Laur Birrell is buried right next to Walter Birrell in Coleman cemetery.
At this point, I would assume that the Mary you manage, is either buried with her first husband in Kaleva, or maybe with her family. I have not looked into it yet, as I'm correcting my data currently on the Laur's after this revelation.

I have sent over a few corrections to who I thought was my Laur relative. I have now looked at Mary Birrell, who really is this memorial and now realize that Walter married two Mary's in his life, and I assumed that this Mary burial was actually who I thought it was. Now back to trying to find the first Mary...
