My mother was the daughter of Belle Melinda Willie Adams, daughter of James Adams who was one of the sons of Nelson Adams, son of Ashael and Pherity (Elizabeth, Phinehas and Patience, etc. Am trying to find out about stories I heard growing up about Pherity being Cherokee Indian. One of my mothers sisters was married to Willie Dotson her name was Nellie (Luther)Dotson. Would really like to know if there is Indian heritage also from the Mathis side??

You're very welcome. I enjoyed doing it and was happy to find her marker on my 2nd walk through the cemetery. Apparently, I missed that row the 1st time through because I found another one on the same row that I had missed seeing the 1st time.
Let me know if you want one pic taken down. I realize someday you or a family member might need more room for adding more family photos and they limit us to 5 per page here (for free anyway).

Hey, you're welcome. I haven't given up and have started walking the cemetery for the 2nd time (for exercise), but if I don't find her marker this time through, I'll go inside and hopefully they will mark it on a map for me.
