I am working on three main families from three Texas Counties: Gonzales, Guadalupe and DeWitt. I am a descendent of the Davis Family (Daniel, Zachariah, Emmaline), the Forester Family (John Brown and Henry Clay) and the Batey Family (William Ferrington, Henry Holmes and Andrew Whitfield). Both the Forester and Batey families have been traced back to Tennessee and both ended up in the Gonzales, Guadalupe County areas of Texas. My husband is from the Bandera and Gillespie County areas in Texas: the Balzen, Eckhart, Stein and Jenschke families.
