Hi Mark!

I am responding to a request from Find A Grave. I might be able to help you! :)

I am pretty new to the site and have been looking for my family members. I have volunteered to be a photo contributor and saw your request.

I live very close the the cemetery that you are requesting photos for. Are you still in need of these photos? If so, please email me and let me know. I should be able to go to the cemetery later this week. Also, if you have any other info about the persons could you please forward it to me? (Full name of the person, birth and death date, memorial/marker number). Looking at the photos of this cemetery, it appears it might small and in an area that isn't as well kept as a larger cemetery.

However, I will do my best to find the headstones you are looking for. :)

Happy 4th!

Clara May Fredenberg, a resident of Clarkston and former area bookkeeper, died of causes related to age Friday at the Clarkston Care Center. She was 95.

She was born April 16, 1899, at Chandler, Okla., to Samuel and Eliza Cynthia Dilley Lockridge.

In 1900 the family moved to Idaho, where they purchased a farm near Ilo (now Craigmont).

Mark.. Please follow the rules and quit creating duplicates of existing memorials. You have also copied a marker pic that someone else took and posted which is against the rules and illegal as it is a violation of copyright.. Please read the findagrave FAQS

I spoke with Shelli at Ilo Vollmer Historical Society this am. She got your email but is really busy right now and will address it after the holiday..

There are no spellings of Lochridge in Lewis County. You claim that the memorial company made the spelling error, but do you really think they did it repeatedly, over many years ? and do you also believe that the state made the same mistake ?? all the obits and records one can find all state Lockridge, and NOT Lochridge.

There are Lockridge descendents still in the area, and none of them spell their name with an H.

This is a very rural agricultural area and everyone knows everyone, including family histories. my G and GG grands; and all relatives are buried in Craigmont.

Please delete the duplicates you have created.. thanks !

RE: About my Direct Family Surname
I am well aware of Ancestry's purchase of findagrave. Nothing has changed at findagrave becaue of it. the faqs are the same.. the name on the marker is what goes on the memorial page..

It's very difficult to fathom that the monument company misspelled the Lockridge name, repeatedly, over many years..and no one ever called them on it.. There are members of the Lockridge family that are alive and still in the area, and they, like all the other ones in this area, spell it with a K and not an H.

RE: Bruce L. Lockridge
Findagrave NOT Ancestry sets the naming conventions..names are supposed to be what is on the marker.. I find it very interesting that your family members had Lockridge engraved on their markers, if they spelled it Lochridge..

Reminds me of the Nelson/Nilson some point, the family split and one side changed the spelling of their name to Nilson..

Ilo Vollmer Historical Society has all the dates and obits. please contact Shelley Kuther for it.

I deleted it.. however findagrave guidelines state the the name on the marker, is what is on the memorial page..

Apparently the Lockridge family spelled it with a "K" and not an "H".
