Not sure where you got your information. There is no record of Mary Boyd being buried in Clayton cemetery. Yes her husband John is buried there. He has a military gravestone.

|Lynn Fischer||Lochridge surname|
There is no problem with my email. When I first tried to email you I used your personal email address which is posted on your profile page. Those emails were the ones which kept bouncing back to me. The messages I received said that I had to go through some sort of approval process before those messages would be delivered. That's why I just posted my information as a message to you on your profile page - hoping that the Find A Grave system telling you that you had a message would get through or that you would eventually read the message on your profile page.
The family trees which I looked at on Ancestry.com when I was looking for information about Thomas and Irene Lockridge were all PUBLIC family trees. If you have a family tree on Ancestry set as PRIVATE I would have had no way to look at anything there without having previously been granted access by you.
Regarding the surnames on the Find A Grave memorials which I manage for people you identified to me as your 3rd cousins, I am following the Find A Grave guidelines about using the spelling as it appears on the tombstone.
I'm not trying to be difficult - I'm just following the rules.
|Lynn Fischer||Lockridge vs. Lochridge surnames|
Your email keeps bouncing back to me so I'll have to use this method to reach you. I spent two days doing as much as I could to research the family of Thomas and Irene Lockridge. I've been able to locate and link a number of their children (one link still pending processing) and their spouses and have added a few death certificates that I managed to locate. I've also found some obituaries and/or obituary abstracts to help me confirm relationships. Right now I'm trying to get some of the deceased grandchildren linked but that's going to take more work. In every single record I've found the family surname is spelled Lockridge (with a "K").
For two reasons I'd prefer to decline your request to change the surname on the memorials from Lockridge to Lochridge - (1) Find A Grave guidelines say to show the surname as it appears on the tombstone or cemetery marker and (2) it would be totally unfair to the surviving descendants of this couple to change the spelling of their family surname to something that they do not use and have never used. I know I would be really upset to find a memorial for my grandparents or great grandparents where the surname was changed from what they used to a spelling in use over 200 years ago.
For your own personal records or family tree you may have established somewhere online you are welcome to use whatever spellings you choose. However, on Find A Grave, I'm going to follow the guidelines and keep the memorial spellings as they appear on the tombstone (and in other official records).
I wish you much success in your family research.

|Richard Jacobsen||RE: Headstone Photo Question|
There is no marker for Earl Strauch. As there were no other burials found under that name, except the family grouping, I chose to put in a photo of the family plot. That plot is located adjacent (and on the north side) of the mound with the flagpole and Civil War canon.
Please note I also created a memorial for John L. Strauch. If you are interested, I would be happy to transfer management of that memorial to you.
|Lori Humble||Webster / Woodlawn Cemetery|
Just wanted to let you know Matia Websters grave is unmarked. The only stone in the burial area is the name "Fox". Per cemetery records Hazel & J.L. Fox are buried in the same area with Matia. I will post a picture of the area to the memorials.
