Genealogy research tops my list of favorite activities. I have been researching my own, my husband's and allied families for twenty years. I have written one book on our Campbell lines and am working on a second book.|
The memorials that I manage are primarily my own family or allied family members that I have researched.
Seen on another contributor's profile. I couldn't agree more.
"...real shame what find-a-grave has evolved into. What started...way to link people with graves of loved ones...the generations that had preceded them, has turned into a game for some. Memorials have turned into ...a competition of who can.. post the highest numbers. What has been forgotten ...these were people, loved in life and death.. apologies to those that have pure motives."
Find-a-Grave can be a good resource. Thank you to the members whose hard work and generous volunteer hours have helped countless researchers.
I will happily make transfers for anyone who requests one.If it's your relative or friend and not my direct line I'll happily transfer it. Family should be managed by family. Use the edit request on the memorial and include your FAG member number with your request. Please mention your relationship also.I want to show respect for you and your family members. A cooperative spirit is so welcome!
Please feel free to copy any of my memorial pictures. I have posted them for your use. Questions or corrections? If I typed something wrong, or posted incorrect information I hope to hear from you. Mistakes happen and I strive for accurate facts on the memorials I manage.
Best of luck as you search and re-search the pieces of your family puzzle!

I have posted photos of: Alice, George Link, Fred D and Charlie L Shumaker. There is also a picture of Potter Downs' gravestone - maybe Alice's brother?

If you will check the spelling of the headstones of her parents that is how they spelled it. Barret.

What is the name of your husband's GG Grandmother? Are you looking to have it replaced or cleaned? I am very curious to know if I can help you in any way if the headstone or memorial only needs cleaning. I do have contacts in the Wetumpka area but I would like to see for myself what it needs before going further. I will be more than happy to send you details of what I find and who to contact in any case.
I will be out of town this weekend but returning Sunday so feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I look forward to hearing from you. I think it is GREAT that your husband is so concerned for the care and love of his loved ones.
