RE: Burk
I went in yesterday and the fellow who looks these up for me had no problem locating it...using the map I walked to the area where it was tagged to be and lots of empty (unmarked) sites. Being a puzzle solver I was NOT giving up and I noticed a pile of leaves and just one tiny raised portion of the marker was peeking through. Got rid of the leaves and VOILA! Glad I could help.

There seems to be a lot of disconnect with the people in the office. Front desk folks are great as is my finder guy...other than that it is a crap shoot.

William Latta
My name is Vicky LATTA-McCain. I am Branch 20 captain for Latta.org
My grt grandfather, Henry William Latta & his wife Melinda Louisa Click are buried in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Peru, Miami Co., IN (where I was born & raised)
Henry William's father, my grt grt grandfather is William Henry Latta. William was born in Westmoreland Co, PA & died in Miami County, IN (1814-1883) He married Anna Alberry. They are both buried in Paw Paw Cemetery in Miami County, IN. They are with many other members of my family--Clark, Byron (both Civil War vets), Maryette, Elizabeth, Herman, Ottie Grant Latta & William Henry with their spouses & children.
The only Lattas buried in Chili Cemetery in Miami County is Clark Latta's son, Homer C. Latta (1874-1942), his wife Estelle "Stella" Mull and their infant son.
I have taken pictures of each of these people's headstones personally and didn't rely strictly on FindAGrave. If you would like to see them or any of my other research please contact me at v.latta-mccain@sbcglobal.net
Can you enlighten me on who the William & Alice Latta are that you are connected to & where they are actually buried?
Thank you so much.
Vicky
