|Got interested in this in trying to research our family tree after my Dad died and found out no one knew too much about my father's mother's side. Now I find I spend most of my spare time tromping around Western NY cemeteries, looking for my ancestors, REDDEN, GRIFFEN, WOLCOTT,KEENAN, KING, DURFEE, HAND, BROOKS, ALLEN and HARVEY. |
If I've entered someone in your family I would be glad to add info or transfer them to you. If you request a transfer please state your relationship to the deceased. And please excuse any errors I may have made and contact me for a correction. Be sure to put FAG in the subject line so I don't delete your e-mail.Hope I can help someone.

Hello, Linda is my aunt on my dad's side and if you could transfer management to me. She was my dad's favorite sister haha. She passed away 1 year and 1 month after my dad. So trying to grieve the loss of my dad another family member was taken too soon. Thank you in advanced.
I made a mistake on my message to you. I wrote that Roger Wolcott's son "Roger" was one of the signer's of the Declaration of Independence which in reality it was his other son "Oliver". Oliver would be my 6th great uncle. Sorry for the mistake. All in all I just want to thank you again for the great research you did on the Wolcott family history.

Thank you so much for the info. I am a decedent of the Wolcott's on my mother's side. Roger Wolcott was my 7th great-grandfather and his son Alexander was my 6th great-grandfather. Roger Wolcott who was signer of the Declaration of Independence was my 6th great-uncle. My grandmother was a Balestier and her great great grandmother was Caroline Wolcott Balestier married to Joseph Neree Balestier. I go all the way back to the 1400's on my mother's mother's side of the family. If you need any information feel free to contact me. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you for the info

Dan is the son of Dorothy C. Merkle-Elbel. Her obituary shows she is also buried at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Bethany. I do not find a memorial for her under Merkle or Elbel.
Since I donít know which last name is on her stone, and since you already maintain her sonís memorial, would you like to create a memorial for her? Here is the link to her obituary: http://m.thedailynewsonline.com/mobile/article_7fb44f68-aeef-11e2-9dfc-001a4bcf887a.html
I was looking for another Elbel when I found Dorothy.

Hi Marsha, who do you descend from? Wayne is Deforest, George, Earl, back to Ephriam and Polly in Quakertown.Not sure if I asked before.
|Kelli Nerger||Hannah Waterhouse|
I noticed you left a note on Hannah Waterhouse's memorial, that she was a GG of your's. She is also one of mine...6th to be exact. Would you like to compare relatives?? :)
|Patricia||We share a g-grandfather!|
I am so amazed - who knew all those years ago at old ACS we had a common ancestor??

Yes, he is my biological grandfather. My mother was seven when he died and was not allowed to go to the funeral out of concern for her well being. She had told me I am named after him, Norman Russell. She remembered that he lived for about 24 hours after the accident but not much else. She tried to find where he was buried much later in her life but was not so lucky. Can I assume that you have done/are doing/ the genealogy for your family?

I don't remember if I ever sent you a reply or not, but on this, the 22nd anniversary of her leaving this earth, I can only tell you how special your daughter was, and how she made the world a better place. We worked together @ Wendy's while she was at UNC-Asheville. I only knew her a short while, but she really was special...I only wish that I had gotten to know her better. A few years ago I purchased an old yearbook from her high school from ebay so to have a picture of her...and there are times that I have difficult days or can't seem to get it together, I think of her and what she would do, and somehow things just work out. I wished that I could have gotten to know her more, because she left her mark on me for the rest of my life. You raised a wonderful daughter...always remember that! If you ever need to reach me, please write...email@example.com. Take care, and Happy Belated Mother's Day!!!
Marsha, Are you related to Simon D. and Jane Cleveland? Jane is buried in the Van Allen Cemetery in Le Roy, Genesse, New York. I am. Debbie
