Bio and Links
Bio Photo Since coming to Find-A-Grave I have found it to be priceless. I have enjoyed genealogy for a few years.

I enjoy taking photo's at various cemeteries. It is very peacefull and the people there are good listeners!! Most of the memorials I post are from these photo's so please let me know if you find an error or have additional info.

Will transfer if not my family. Just click the "edit" tab on the memorial that is in question. Click the item that is appropriate and tell me how I can help you.

Carrie May Johnson
When you photographed her marker in City Cemetery did you note an adjacent stone for her husband Joseph N. Johnson or son William S. Johnson ?

I don't know for sure because he doesn't appear on a census record with the others in the family.

RE: Blanche Cooley
I vaguely remember Aunt Jessie. We definitely should compare family history.
Jessie's father's name was Ora Lee Traylor mother Callie M. Galloway. Her siblings were William, Blanche Phyllis, and my grandfather, Russell Marian

Is my great Aunt. She is my grandfather, William Blaine Cooley's sister. If it's ok with you, I'd like to ask to manage her grave here. Thank you.

RE: James B. Hendrickson
That is a huge shame. I don't know what kind of thrill people get from doing that.
What other cemeteries are there? I might try that and see if James and Rebecca's son, William(who by the way was Sheriff in Fayette County in the early 1900's).
Thanks for the help and thanks for taking all those photos.

RE: James B. Hendrickson
Are there any other Hendrickson headstones close by? I sort of get the opinion they are buried together just by looking at the stone. I was so thankful there was a link to the head stone I cried. I have written a story about James's service in the Civil War. It is in the archives at the Indiana War museum in Indianapolis. The flag that he carried when the war was done, from Atlanta, GA to Washington, D.C. is in the museum too. The flag curator told me they put it out on display sometimes.
While James was in the Civil War he learned how to make saddles. So he did that in the war as well. When he got out and went back to Connorsville, IN he put that knowledge to good use and made saddles. He also made carriages. He died of lead poisoning from the lead in the paint he used on the carriages. I actually have his obit from a Fayette, CO newspaper. Is there a museum there? I got alot of info from her. And my ancestors had got his pension paperwork to put in the genealogy they were doing on the Hendrickson family. Thank you so very much for taking a picture of that head stone. If there are anymore Hendrickson stones, I would love pictures if you get time.
