My family history in Grundy County dates back to 1838. My family includes, maternal surnames Whitney/Metcalf and paternal surnames , Griffin/Roberts.

I grew up in the Edinburg community, Grundy County, Missouri. Most of my family still reside in Grundy County. I have lived in Dallas, Tx, and in Missouri, Cameron, Excelsior Springs before moving to Chillicothe. This past February I moved back to Trenton.

RE: Bryant surname
Hi David,

Sorry the Holidays are a bit bonkers around here and then we got buried with all that snow from Jonas. I'd love to sit down, maybe via email and figure out some of this information on my husbands family. He's very interested as well but currently finishing his last 2 Masters degree classes. Email is Melanie@memories4tomorrow.com. So nice to meet a family person who WANTS to share info :) We're on ancestry.com as well.

Cheers!

Melanie

RE: Blythe memorial
I meant to send you a note about the death date not being on there yet but had already sent the picture. If I remember, I will try to keep an eye out for the update.

RE: Trenton MO
Glad to hear that. I always say it is a very small world when you do genealogy. My friends tell me I have more cousins than Carter has pills.

RE: Union Chapel Cemetery
Sorry I do not live near this cemetery. I made memorials based on the cemetery records. According to them I don't show John or Mary being buried there.

Thank you

RE: Collins McLaughlin
David: If I sent you a previous message, please forgive me; however, I'm an old man of 79 and have a tendency to forget at times.
I have an obituary and the photo of Collins McLaughlin if you will send me your email address. That way I can send you the items so you can download them.
Please advise, Jack W. McLaughlin

RE: Collins McLaughlin
David: I have a picture of Collins McLaughlin holding his horse and also his obituary when he died in 1930 there in Grundy County. If you will communicate to my home email: Scottymack37@yahoo.com, and send me your address, I will send them to you in the mail. I'm an old man (79 years old) and don't know how to do all that fancy stuff on the computer, ha! Just let me know and I'll help you out in anyway I can. Jack W. McLaughlin
