Bio and Links
Bio Photo Born and raised in Carterville, Williamson Co., Illinois. Parents were Charles Thomas and Cecil Mae Knight Jones.

Proudly working almost daily to enter obits in FAG using obits from newspapers and those for cemeteries on record at local libraries.

Ancestor searches going on for the names of Jones, Knight, Ramsey, Rendleman, Yates and others.

Jim is a member of the National Sons of the American Revolution and the Lewis and Clark Sons of the American Revolution Club.

I am happy to make corrections to my work, but would appreciate all correction requests be made under "Edits." It is the most simple and quick way to make corrections. Other forms of correction requests may not be accepted. Requests for transfer of memorials must closely follow guidelines set out by FAG. Thanks

Lydia Golsch Casperson
I just noticed that I have made a duplicated memorial for Lydia Casperson. Your memorial # is 113273952 and mine is 149716492. Would you mind deleting your memorial since I have linked her to her family members. If not I will delete mine and would mind linking her family members? What ever you want to do is fine by me.

Thank you

Adam Lerch #121385985
James, I have been researching a date conflict with Adam Lerch. The Find A Grave memorial has his date of death as 28 Aug 1864. But I have Civil War records that show he enlisted after this date. Plus, 1870 Federal Census. I found the Summerfield Cemetery Index at the Library today. It has his date of death as 28 Aug 1884. I will send an edit via Find A Grave. Reference: St. Clair County Cemetery index; Summerfield 1840 - 1883. Page 16. St. Clair County Genealogical Society. Thanks, Joe Lerch

Sophia Ettling
Dear James,

Just wanted to let you know that there is already a memorial for Sophia on Find A Grave. Her memorial number is 120444672 and yours is 124363191. There is also a memorial for her husband John and that is 120444435. I would appreciate it if you could take yours down so there are not duplicate entries.

Are you related to this family? My husband is a descendent of their daughter Helena who married Phillip Pfeifer. I would be happy to share information if you are related.

Thank you for your help with this.
Sincerely,
Jeannette Weaver

RE: Photo-Warren Manning
The inscription is so faded, I searched several times before I found it. Tried on a few more occasions to get a decent photo too. The shaded shot seemed to bring it out best, but I will keep trying to get a better one whenever I'm out that way. Strange how his wife's inscription is so clear (and she's not even buried there). I guess because it faces a slightly different direction it didn't get as weathered.

James:
I went and looked and I can't find where I sent you a SAC for a duplicate memorial for Emelia/Emily even though they are the same person. Perhaps the person who just added her tombstone photo sent you the SAC? That's the first time I have seen that photo.
Thanks!
Peggy

RE: E. Reiss
I am related to the Reiss family and added from my family file. Emelia is her real name and she went by Emily. I can change her name and birthdate as to what is on the tombstone and explain in the bio. Thanks for responding.
