Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a native Texan and love genealogy. I was born and grew up in Foard County, Texas. I never traveled much from my home town until I married; and now, my husband and I travel a lot. We live most of the time in South America and travel over the United States when we are home. I have just finished helping with compiling a book of information on World War I veterans who are buried in Foard. I have also compiled clippings, notes and information on Civil War Veterans who lived at any time in Foard County, Texas. I have a passion for preserving history as recorded in the cemeteries, many of which have been neglected and vandalized. I also love receiving and sharing information.
At the end of 2012, my husband and I are retiring and relocating in Springfield, Missouri.

Lyn and Glen Ryder
Hi Cindy,
We were doing genealogy on our family and found an error at the Find a Grave in the Gilliland Cemetery in Gilliland, Texas.
Lyn and Glen were twins (not husband and wife). they both died as young children. On the site they are listed as husband and wife.
I saw that your name was the person who added the information and I tried to correct it so I am requesting a correction be made. Thank you for your help in making this correction.
My husband is a nephew of Lyn and Glen.

RE: Alma, Meroney, and Mary Wells.
Yes, Robert Anthony Wells and Mary Frances Brown were their parents. That is 100% correct.

RE: Banister Cemetery.
That's absolutely fine. I'm just so happy someone found the cemetery and drew attention to it before it was too late. For that I am forever grateful!

Cyndy, you created the memorial and posted a photo for this cousin of mine. You show a DOD of May 1, 1911. I notice, however that she is listed in the 1920 census with her 2nd husband, D F Jones and her 3 youngest children. They are show to be living in Farmersville, Collin County, Texas.

If you still have your original photo, could you examine it to see what DOD year is carved in the stone? Unfortunately there is the shadow of a small tree just covering that data and I can't tell.

BTW, I thought it was funny that she married(1st hubby) Benjamin Franklin "Frank" Jones, since her father was Benjamin Franklin "Frank" Patton. Do you believe in coincidences?

Thanks,
Clayton Raney
