Thank you for all your work. It has really helped many of us.
Please check the year of death on the referenced memorial number. The five is kind of difficult to make out, but the actual year of death is 2003 per SSDI and family information. Thanks Again, Wayne
|Margaret Moreno||RE: W W. CLEVELAND|
Thank you for the transfer! Are you related? I am very interested in the Family Bible. I am working on the Cleveland Family. My GGGrandmother is Palestine Cleveland and I have been trying to locate her father's grave. He is Ulysses T. Cleveland he died in Mobile, Alabama in 1864. ( William W. Cleveland's father). It would be wonderful if there is family pictures of any of the Clevelands. Margaret

Elizabeth is not the daughter of Thomas and Matilda Slaughter. She is their granddaughter, daughter of their son, Isaac Jones Slaughter.

|Gary G. Rowden||Charles Leonard Hanley|
Robert, I have a paternal step grandfather by the name of Charles L Hanley who according to a marriage cert in Saline Co, AR in 1925 was 26 yrs old. This DOB works. I have seen online genealogy info on this Whistler family showing that Charles was in Jacksonville, AR and a painter prior to coming back home to Whistler. Prob - he supposedly died (Ark Death Index on 19 Oct 1929 from a broken neck suffered in a work-related fall. My grandmother married again on 30 Jan 1935 in Little Rock. I have an Ark Death Cert that has a lot of info written in that doesn't fit including showing his race as colored and a wife by another name. I am now inclined to believe that the death cert is not our Charles. I hope that someone alive in Whistler can shed some intelligent life. I linked my grandmother to this Charles and think that may be a mistake or too hasty. Feel free to remove that link if you decide you need to. My research continues.

|Laura Sanders||Knight Family|
I am researching the Knight family from South Carolina, and am a little confused about James Knight Sr (b abt 1760) and James Knight Jr, b abt 1799. Why do you believe it was James Knight Sr married to Jane (Mary Jane) Davis, and not James Jr?
Laura Sanders, Greenville SC
I also have a tree at Ancestry,
My member name is "Bondsgals"

|Mary Ann||RE: CARRIE ETTA SNELLGROVE|
Thank you so much, Bob. Other than the bible, which I am surprised to hear about, I believe the other instances of the name all came from that same census. I uploaded some photos of Carrie Etta (one with her mother Matilda, her daughter, and grandson, and the other of her alone) - I imagine you've seen those by now. I would love to hear your old stories. I found your "Female Side of Our Family" genealogy on the Lauderdale Historical Society site and am very much enjoying reading through it. I wish the Meridian Star had online historical archives - I would love to read the Alfred Snellgrove Blazed a Trail... article. I'll email you so that you can contact me privately if you'd like to share any stories. I have death dates but no sourcing, so I'll wait to submit those until I can prove them. Thanks again for your quick changes!
