Please Note: I am not Find A Grave memorial creator unless I am asked to create memorials. I am a genealogist (24 July 2015).

In October 2013, I found information that a very distant relative, Sargent Reuben C Couch, who fought on the Union side of the American Civil War, captured, became a prisoner of war and was sent to Salisbury Confederate Prison in North Carolina, USA.

This virtual cemetery is dedicated to the individuals (Union soldier's, southern political discontents and others) who were incarcerated at Salisbury Confederate Prison and interned in one of the eighteen(18) burial trenches in Salisbury National Cemetery. Most of their names are unknown and are only found by individual research, as I did because no records were found at Salisbury Confederate Prison of the dead prisoners. The virtual cemetery was created 28 Oct 2013.
