|atf||John "Jack" Hardison|
John Halsey Hardison was my great grandfather. Would you mind checking your resources for any information not included on his memorial site (45281478). I have been unable to verify who his parents were.

|Ghio Barry Boaz||Joseph F. DICKERSON|
I found Joseph F. DICKERSON's burial information from Portlock Cemetery@Oak Grove Cemetery (Portlock Cemetery is evidently included at Oak Grove Cemetery, Portsmouth, Virginia. Joseph F. DICKERSON was in the 9th Virginia Infantry and died 2 Feb 1880. His remains are in Row 4 Plot 151 (the identical location for his wife Elizabeth Ghio DICKERSON) This information should clarify the confusion of his death date.
|Ghio Barry Boaz||Joseph F. DICKERSON|
I obtained Joseph F. DICKERSON's date of death (16 May 1911) from the Boaz-Anderson Family Tree which is jenniferrwilcox's ID. I did find that John B. DICKERSON died around 1880 and that may the reason for the confusion. John B. is my 2nd Great Grand father and Joseph F. is my Great Grand father. I found a Norfolk City Cirectory for Joseph F. DICKERSON dated as late as 1891. Therefore, it doesn't look like the 1880 date for his death is correct. I have put in a request to jenniferrwilcox to find out how she came up with the 1911 date.
Please contact me directly at
to discuss these Littlejohn memorials.
Most of the Littlejohn memorials in the Edenton area were created by someone else, but they transferred maintenance to me when they found out that I am working on this line.
I have not had time to research all their postings for accuracy, so I will welcome any necessary corrections if specific supporting references can be cited.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Just a note: Charles A Grice signed documents as Charles A Grice and there is some confusion about his middle name. In a bible given by him to his son S.D. Grice his name is shown as Charles Augustus Grice. In 1855 as part of an application for additional bounty land due to veterans of the War of 1812 he submitted an explanatory letter which clearly, in his own hand, stated that he adopted the middle name Augustus to distinguish himself from an Uncle of the same name that lived in Elizabeth City, NC and was known in his new hometown and further indicates that at the time of his baptism as an adult at the Episcopal Church in Portsmouth that he was baptized as Charles Augustus Grice. The confusion appears to stem from one of his sons being named Alexander. This son appears to have been named for his mother's brother-in-law Alexander Pinkham. In life he stuck to using Charles A Grice, which is why that is the name on his grave monument. Charles is my 4th Great-Grandfather.

mary elsie was my grandmother who died long before I was born. Her daughter, Elsie Frances Rosendale Devine was my mother. She also died quite young and I have had minimal information about Mary. Are you connected by family?

This Confederate soldier had also served in the Confederate States Navy, aboard the CSS HUNTRESS at Charleston, in 1863. His Compiled Military Service Record and the volume, NORFOLK COUNTY RECORD, show his transfer to the CSN, after he was wounded at Sharpsburg, in 1862.

Thank you so much! Do you have any information on Elizabeth Miller? Did she marry John Fraetas? Who I understand to be the father of Rochelle?
|Elizabeth Marie||Memorial# 37583539|
Hello, do you have any info on this person, Ann Miller Kelly/Kelley? I am trying to confirm if she might be the mother of Rochelle Fraetas Snyder Cross and Daniel Kelly Fraetas. Thank you.
