Sepulchrum: Graves, tombs, sepulchers.
We started out just two guys who have an interest in genealogy and old things.
One of us (Eric) has relatives at Multnomah Park, the other (David) is repaying a debt to genealogists who supplied him with a huge amount of information from Sweden.
We have listed most of the graves in this large public cemetery, which contains well over 11,000 residents.
The 'death' dates for people may be their burial dates. We are working off Metro's data base which gives the burial date of the deceased up until the 1970's.
If you have any information on any of the residents of Multnomah Park, please let us know so it can be posted. We'd like these people to be more than just a name with dates. They (we) all have a story to tell!
If you would like us to transfer a relative to you, we expect you to be an active contributor to FindAGrave. IF you are only maintaining your relatives' graves and not actively contributing by adding non-relatives' graves chances are we won't transfer someone to you. We expect you to add non-relatives to FindAGrave because in that way everyone benefits.
The data base supplied to us by Metro, the current managing agency for Multnomah Park has a lot amount of unknowns, and that's where the X's come in. IF you see an "X" in the plot information it means it is unknown in the data base that we just finished transcribing and entering for all people to see and use. Note that Metro inherited the records from another agency who inherited them from a previous owner.
IF we haven't gotten around to updating the information you have kindly provided to us in what you might consider a timely manner, please keep in mind that we are volunteers - and please send us a reminder if you haven't heard back from us in a timely manner.
We are making periodic trips to the state archives in Salem to make copies of Death Certificates. We do update information with data from the various death certificates - when we have the time. We have, but generally do not post the certificates on FAG. If you would like one please inquire. Driving an hour to Salem to copy documents in the state archives is beyond what is a normal volunteer activity - especially with the price of gas.

Thank you, David and Eric.

N B Golden is the brother of my great grandmother. The parents are buried in Quincy MI. This is a family for which I have much research. N B waa born in Ohio, homesteaded in MI, Iowa then Nebraska and finally OR having lived for a while in Massachusetts. I would like to link them all. I am the President of the Sheldon Family Assoc and they are all descendants.
|Catherine Lobb||Sadie Jones and|
Sadie Jones is my paternal grandmother and if you would like to transfer her memorial to me, I would take good care of it. Her Memorial # is 47369626. Also I have a copy of her death certificate and her date of death is August 21, 1925 rather than August 25. My grandfather (her spouse) is Hubert H Belnap, buried at Willamette National Cemetery-Memorial #352342. He was born Dec 17, 1876 and died Feb 12, 1957.
Please respond at your convenience. Thank you. Catherine Lobb, 3811 NE 36th Avenue, Portland 97212 - e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
