Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a member and Director of Plymouth County Genealogists, Inc. (PCGI), and currently President of the Friends of Middleborough Cemeteries, Inc. (FoMC). I have researched my Family History and now really enjoy contributing to the knowledge of all people of the past. My non-family memorials focus on my town of Bridgewater, MA and the neighboring areas.

POSTERITY: I publish photos and create memorials here for the benefit of present and future generations. If you want to publish my gravestone photos on any website that you contribute to (except FindaGrave, according to FAQ#142), include in the photo caption "used with the written permission of Chip5610 (#46997557) at FindaGrave" and keep a screen-print of this page for your records. Copyright laws require you to obtain permission to use a photograph, and conditionally - based on your integrity - you have it! Understand that merely attributing credit does not comply with the law.

Building a cemetery index: I invest a lot of time developing and maintaining the cemetery page listings for Southeastern Massachusetts (maps for Plymouth and Bristol and Norfolk counties) and several other counties in the state. I add new cemeteries and I remove "incorrect" cemeteries. I improve existing cemetery pages by adding cemetery photos and the GPS coordinates. To each cemetery description, I add the GR identifiers from the MA Vital Records books and the MACRIS identifier to each Massachusetts cemetery description. MACRIS identifiers are an important first step in protecting a Massachusetts cemetery. Knowing where a cemetery is located is the first step in preserving the cemetery and finding a grave.

Assistance: The structure of the site engenders collaboration. The "Suggest a Correction (SAC)" feature is great, so use it liberally! My e-mail was set-up specifically for FindaGrave matters, so feel free to send as many SACs as you want. This is a great hobby, and I will work with anyone, happily! My only request: Say 'Thank You'!

Thank you so much for linking my Great Grandma Elsie Thompson. I reconized who Aunt Georgia was from other photographs that you download. I found a photograph of Aunt Dorothy who is another sibling.

It's so sad that two first cousins lived in Rockland Massachusetts, at the same time and never connected. I would like to through you connect cousins on the D'Ornelles side with Elsie's grandchildren.

I told them that family lives in the Boston area. Their father never told them. I have photographs of a uncle who lived in NYC on their father's side that only my grandfather would visit whereas his brothers family in Long Island never saw.

Sorry about type. I hate auto spelling correction when I don't catch it.

My granfather's brother did tell about his uncle's wives being from Maine. Not exact but close.

I hope that I find Caroline's obituary to put on her find a grave website

Caroline Peatana D'Ornellad
I'm Caroline's Great Great Grandson. My Granfather is Carl Dash who loved his Granmother dearly. I have photographs of her with my grandfather and siblings. He missed his grandmother so much I have a copy of a letter that he wrote to him before she died. In retrospect my grandfather did not like the idea of immigrating to the United States. One of my grandfather's aunt's on his father's side looked after Caroline after none of her family loved in BG any more.

The aunt bought personal property of Caroline with the agreement it was to be passed down to my granfather's eldest daughter. My mother passed it down to me several years ago.

I have a photograph saying that "Ba" died Jan 3, that my grandfather's aunt sent, Elsie. I know that you are probably a descendant of Uncle Afred or Uncle Edward.

With all the research that I have done. Alfed and Edward changed the spelling due to the time period.

We are Luso-Indian that is connected with Goa, the Portuguese Colony that the Indian government took over in the 1960's.

My grandfather was always accused of being part black. In face my grandmother's grandfather disapproved of my grandparents marriage until his wife died and my grandfather scooped know for her funeral. My grandmother's mother told her father-in-law was a nice man. From that day on my grandmother's grandfather was nice.

My grandmother told me before she died that her grandfather was in the KKK.

The last photo of Caroline that I have she is dressed in tradition white clothing as people in India wear. She looks like an old lady from Goa.

My mother never saw the photograph growing up in Iowa. At the time the Asian Exclusion Act was law. It was not until WWII that the acts were repealed.

My wife is from Hong Kong and we went to Macau that used to be the Portuguese Colony in China. I saw people there who are themselves as Portuguese even though the are mixed with Chinese or Indian.

Because of the Goa Portuguese, the Portuguese government does not know how many people have Indian decent. The rule was if the father was Portuguese the children were Portuguese regardless of race.
