 | RE: Thanks OK. I'm happy to share anything I've got.....I live close by, too, and if you're interested, maybe we could double up on a cemetery walk or two? Most of my family thinks I'm nuts, so I'm always looking for someone to go with me. | | | Martha DiChiara
 | Union St Cemetery in Franklin Hi. I was leaving a message for another contributor and saw that you had asked a question about this cemetery. In fact, I've spent quite a lot of time in the last couple of years walking this cemetery (and other local ones) and taking pix of headstones. I use these pix along with NEHGS information, Ancestry.com information, and other online sources to develop a public tree on Ancestry.com mostly containing information about 18th and 19th century Norfolk County families. (I live in Wrentham.) I've not yet taken the time to put most of the pix on findagrave - altho I do intend to - but they are up on Ancestry as I figure out who is who and how they are related. I would be happy to give you copies of any I have. Just let me know who you are interested in. | | | Deborah A Smith
 | RE: Union St Cemetery, Franklin Hi Susan, In regards to Union St cemetery, I was only there once. I took some pics of headstones in the newer section in a back corner. I always hoped to get back there to check out the older section but have other projects going on at the moment. My grandparents were from Franklin . as for the database, I only added a handful to this cemetery. Other people contributed the rest. there are only 296 gravesites listed, and if I remember, the cemetery was quite large, so by no means is it completely represented on Find a Grave. and yes, you may have to walk row by row to find headstones to fulfill photo requests. Usually I get a feel for the area, try to determine the date range of the headstones so i have good place to start. Even then, it can take awhile. But at least I get some exercise in. sometimes, I just pick a section and start transcribing and taking pictures and eventually I find what I cam there for in the first place. I don't always have time to do this, but it's a nice way to spend and hour or two on a saturday or sunday. You have any other questions or anything else you can email me direct at breken2022@yahoo.com Debbi | | | coco
