I enjoy exploring old cemeteries. There is a lot of history in them to be shared. My Family research is in the Christie, Wheeler, Ogburn, Campbell, and Milburn lines. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and know the importance of geneaology work and temple work for our kindred dead. I hope that some of the graves I transcribe will assist someone that is doing family history research.If I made errors, please let me know and I will correct them. Some of the older stones are deteriorated and hard to read.I am transcribing cemeteries in Columbia, Union, Bradford and Hamilton Counties , Florida. If you are looking for a grave and know where the interment occurred, let me know and I will try to locate it for you.|

The reason that he was linked to who he was, is because his cousin gave me the info. Are you aware that this cemetery in which he is interred is of african origin? Please advise...dave

|Sherry W.GILES- gombert||Arrenia CHRISTIE-Goff|
Greetings "maybe cousin". Arrenia CHRISTIE-Goff is my Great-Great Grandmother through her daughter Lucyanna Elizabeth GOFF-Sellars and her daughter my grandmother Mamie Irene SELLARS-Giles. What source was used for the "Jane" in Arrenia's name? What relationship are you to Arrenia?

I notice only Uncle Phil presently being the only child listed at present of the total 10 children Arrenia had. I had a photograph of Uncle Phil it has been posted. I shall try and link Lucy to her parents soon.
Take care God Bless
|John M Johns||Mary, second wife of John Ross Avery|
The listing for John Ross Avery has a note that he married his second wife, Mary, in 1905. The Columbia County, Florida marriage records show J R Avery married Mary Dees on 26-Oct-1905.
this is the A listings.)
The home page is http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~flbakehs/columbia.html
The 1900 census has Mary Dees, widow, living in same household with Charles W Avery. She is listed as his aunt. (John W Avery lives next door)
Milton Dees married Mary Sistrunk in 1879 and died in 1899 leaving mary a widow. Milton and Mary Dees are listed in the 1880 Census.
I believe Mary Avery died in Suwannee County in 1938.

If the Pearce's at Ebenezer are not your family, they are mine but farther back than the Findagrave Guidelines. While it is too hot to photograph cemeteries I am working on my genealogy, and I have a lot to add on the Pearces.
|Scott McCain||RE: William Allen Wheeler|
Yes it is. Maude Wheeler was my Grandfather's sister. She Married William Wheeler in 1903. They lived in Georgia for quite some time where Mr. Wheeler was involved as a teacher and school system administrator. In their later years they both moved to Lake City until their deaths.
