I was raised near Howard, Miner Co, SD. The last few years I have been spending a lot of time doing genealogy work. It has evolved beyond working with genealogy groups into photographing gravestones and building a database of burials, particularly in Codington and Miner counties and surrounding cemeteries in South Dakota. I am a stickler for accuracy, so don't be surprised if I suggest changes for cemeteries in the area I am familiar with. However, I also make my share of mistakes, so don't be afraid to point them out to me too. The next worse thing to not having info on burials is to have misleading or incorrect info.

Honoring My Ancestors
Appreciative
Hi Bill, thanks for clarifying for me that the burial site for Susan Ann Hansen was actually in Graceland Cemetery in Howard rather than Madison. It was surprising to find so many cemeteries in SD all with the name of Graceland! I appreciate your diligence in details. Warmly, Helen Murphy

RE: Levi Sheckler relatives
Yes and I did, do you know what family was in Harding county, I found the census as far as it went I found Ancestry Tree that has parents, don't know if they are correct of course, found the VA Home place in CA he was. Do you find him in the 1910 census somewhere I missed.

I sure can't
find him in the 1910 census anywhere in SD, Harding county had just been formed in 1909 but the census covered that area, there are some Lei but not him.
