RE: David Harlan
Thanks Jerry, that is exactly what I was hoping for.
PS: His Will and probate was around that time so Sarah didn't wait long to marry after his death. I can understand why too. Rightfully it is always a year, or it was back then. But she had about 6 children by David Harlan and William W. Black was a doctor so he probably took her children in and made Sarah his wife as well.
Thanks again!

Rogers Springs Cemetery
There is not a map connected to Rogers Springs Cemetery. I would like to visit the cemetery and noticed that you submitted two pictures of the cemetery gate and a church. Would you please tell me how to get to this cemetery? Thank you for your many contributions to Find a Grave. They have been helpful in my search for family.

Mr. Owen,
I noticed that you made this memorial to David Harlan. Yes, David was born on the date that you have down but he died in about 1853-1854 according to the probate papers in the Court there at Tippah Co. MS. He married Sarah Ann McMullen in 1838 in Tallahatchie Co. MS.
My question for you is this: is there a bottom piece to this stone just laying around there? Or maybe you have a picture of it that you could share with me? That would give me a death date for sure? Probate records do not show a death date unfortunately, drives this researcher nuts because MS is one state that either shares or has no information on their citizens pre 1860 for some reason, or I can't find it anyway...whichever is true I guess. I find the same for MO, KY, TN etc. And I am not sure if it has to do with the Civil War or not, so I can't say for sure which it is... but never the less very sad. It is all apart of history which needs to be told and needs to be repeated through family lines. I am doing this project for a friend that isn't doing well and the southern states are the hardest ones yet that I have tried to tackle bar none. I am hoping that you can help with maybe a photo of the bottom of that headstone, or maybe contact the cemetery for me? Would greatly appreciate this a bunch.

RE: Creeks
It look like a pole gate across the turnoff to Shelby creek, like a utility type and I think there are utility lines that go across. Anyway I will be checking it out tomorrow.

RE: Jordans
I am really confused, I am going to Ripley tomorrow and I will stop by Curtis creek...I could swear that they were buried in same cemetery as their MaMa Graves. You know I originally made their memorial as Shelby Creek. Well, I can clear that up with my visit tomorrow. Does the road to Shelby Creek still have a gate, I want to go back there but not by myself. Thanks for your quick response. E

RE: Memorial ?
Sorry about that...Thomas E Graves.(1874-1876) I am confused as to what happened to the site I created, I have the pic I took in my Genealogy Book and I posted the site when I did all of the Family in 2002. So I was curious how your entry supercede mine and why Brad Campbell pic of the stone is there and not my pic.

I have come across this before to have my memorial disappear and it particularly makes me sad because of the work I did and because it is my Family but I don't want you to change it as it is there but I may re-post my pic that I took in 2002 to his memorial. Thanks, E

Shelby Creek
Out of curiosity, I am wondering why your memorial replaced mine that I did in 2002, I transcribed all of my Graves relatives and only saw yours as I was adding some new documents...Would you add his transcription Suffer little children to
Come unto me and
forbid them not. Thanks Evelyn
