I remembered your message from Nov 2009 about some Staples foot stones, and thought I had an answer tonight when I found two Staples children who died of respiratory infections within days of birth. They turned out to be sons of Isaac Staples Jr., who apparently had a wife 50 years his junior!, not the Joseph you took a photo of. I did an online search for children of Joseph Staples to see if I could learn the name and year for his deceased child and came up empty.

Here are my Staples. If you run across any of these names, let me know, so I can place them into a cemetery. Even for some of the later ones, e.g., Archie Staples, who had a personal snippet in the paper stating he died, no cemetery is given, but I guess back then, everyone knew where without wasting valuable ink on the matter ;/

Thank you for the photos!

Staples, Hutchinson photos fall 2009
Thank you for finding and photographing the stones. Wow, my mother's Uncle Willy has a nice stone at Hope! I have walked Hope and do not recall ever finding it. The Staples, among the original settlers of Orange County, really show the passage of time but are still readable.

Thank you very much for the tombstone pictures of Willard Stacey.

According to census 1900 and 1910, he was born around 1891.

Now I have dates born and dead.

A.D. Jacques

In the family we were looking for Adjutor Jacques's grave for long time.

He was the brother of my grandmother. He left Quebec (Canada) when he was 14 years old to go to work in Vermont with his father Clarence Jacques (named also Joseph Jacques).

Now I am looking for Clarence Jacques' grave died in Vermont (1926). His funeral at St-Monica church but we don't know where he is buried.

Thanks so much for.
