My wife Carol & I enjoy searching for our own relatives. Carol comes from Jasonville IN: Stockrahm, Terhune, Crabtree, Shoptaw, Pirtle, Walker, are her lines. Mine in Philadelphia, PA. McCullough, Roney, Bradley, Waters. We are eager to fill our tree and will help others as we can. Our life takes us from VT to SC during the year.|
It is exciting digging up the our pasts and leading a hand to others as they search.

I forgot to also ask, I have pictures of many of the graves that you created memorials for, and information. Can I edit the page to include all that? I've never done it before so I don't know how it works.
Hey John, thanks for all memorials you've created. I'm always stunned at some of the people here on the site who've created thousands, I'm still working on just the few I've done :)
I see you have Glen, and Marjory Colby in your list under the Waits River cemetery. There my great-grandparents. I've recently visited the cemetery and took photos their grave and their family. Do you want me to update your version or do a transfers? I also have other graves I can link up to theirs. Thanks.

I would appreciate that.
You know it didn't pop up when I initially searched the name which I thought was odd, but the memorial number took me right to it.
No, I was visiting family in Pennsylvania and spent some time snapping photos in St. Mary's and St. Gabriel's. They're family cemeteries for me, but I was snapping away because I noticed most of the Hazleton area cemeteries aren't on BillionGraves and I wanted to do a little to help others. It's an easy thing to do and the pictures go straight from the app to their website for others to transcribe. I just made sure that everything I took also had a memorial on FindAGrave. Ferdinand just happened to be one I caught...and I just noticed that Eloner was at the bottom of the same tombstone so I added it to her memorial.
Most of the tombstones were easy to read, but there were a few getting eroded quickly. It's so sad when that happens.
Either way our ancestors went to the same church at some point, but the Rownin name isn't familiar. I'm Blanchfield, Boyle, Monaghan, Brown, Barrett, McCoy, Quirk, and Lee. I hope the picture helps though!
|Cherie Cayemberg||Ferdinand and Eloner Rownin|
The name isn't familiar so I'm going to have to say that I'm not related. I couldn't find a memorial with that name, but it's not a family name. I've uploaded so many photos over the past two weeks it's all a blur.
John, we are distant cousins.
I plan on going up to VT in SEP/OCT to do more extensive genealogy. Are you on ancestry by any chance?

Hi John, I have a tree on Ancestry....I'll try to check and see what I have on that branch if anything. If you live close....you can go to the Sullivan County Historical Society ( I think that is what it's called) and ask about the PIRTLE book a Mr. Gambil had possession of a book that was researched by PIRTLE lady. I can't think of her name right now...Delcie Pirtle maybe!!!
Nice to hear from you and I will try to get back with you!!!
