Beth (Jorgensen) Sparrow living in Polk County, Nebraska. Have photos and information on the following surnames: My father's line: Hanks, Fields, Jorgensen, Foster, Lindsay in Nebraska, Illinois, Germany and Denmark. |
My mother's line: Seggerman, Regnier, Junker, Michels, Barber, Sickmon in Nebraska and Illinois, Germany, France, and back to England thru Mayflower passengers.
Have photos and some information on my husband's family: His father's line: Sparrow, Foresman, Richart, Hubbard from Illinois and back east. Currently trying to gather records for my husband's Richart line back to the Mayflower.
His mother's line: Patterson, Thompson, Waterman, Smith and Krieg from Illinois and eastern states.
I also have researched my step-mother-in-law's family: Smith, Steward, Flick, Hill, Hughes, Whitacre, Cross and Glass from mainly Illinois, Indiana and east.
Please see my virtual cemeteries for specific relatives in these lines, and please contact me if you are related to any of these families. I like getting in touch with distant cousins.
Let me know if you want me to transfer someone so you can add more info to a relative. If someone is not my relative, I will usually transfer. Please state your relation in your requests for transfer.
Polk county cemetery info came from the cemetery or from the city/cemetery records. Polk county marriage info comes from the clerk's office at the county courthouse.
I am an avid cemetery photographer fulfilling requests in Polk county and trying to photograph all cemeteries in Polk county (where I live). I will add partial obituaries; I will not add living (surviving) relatives of recent deaths.
IF you use my photos in an online tree, PLEASE give credit by saying "courtesy of Beth Sparrow". It's very annoying to see your own photo in an Ancestry tree with no credit given. And you KNOW it's your photo because the bird poop is in the same place.

You sent me a correction for her maiden name as Benson. Benson is one of my family lines through my Dad's mother and I have Flodman's in the family, but didn't find Augusta or Axel. The obituary on Find A Grave for their son shows her maiden name as Lindahl. So for now I am not making the change.

What brought you across Eric Lindquist at the Lindale Cemetery? I dont have dates on most of that family.

Beth, I have Justin Robert Dittmer's obit and would like you to add it to his site on find a grave. How can I attach it to a message?
|M Navratil / Galbraith||Lineage of Isaac Swigert|
Hi Beth! Greetings. I’m your … cousin, Maidena. Grandfather: Cecil Galbraith, his mother: Ida Galbraith (White), her mother: Phebe White (Swigert). Phebe’s mother: Susannah Swigert (Freisner) & father Isaac Swigert. I am searching for Isaac Swigert’s parents. Isaac & Susannah’s 1st son: Davis David Swigert. He married Melissa Dornan Allen (not sure of her name). Their 1st daughter: Ida Evelyn Sparrow (Swigert). Is she your husband’s great-grandmother? I am the last of 8 generations of Galbraiths from Henderson Co., Illinois. I spent summers with Grandma Nora & Grandpa Cecil. Besides event dates, I research name meaning & location history. Swigert (Sweigart): German Schweigert or Zweigert, occupational name for gardener or tender of fruit trees or vines. Middle High Ger. zwigen ‘to graft or plant’. Sometimes another spelling leads to finding more ancestors. My materal grandmother is from Denmark. When I started typing in last names using the father’s first name, I received more ‘leaves.’ In Danish, Ole becomes Olesen (son) or Olesdatter (daughter). Graves are rented for 20 years; church records show only birth dates. I also look at familysearch.org (free from Mormons). Good luck with your family tree!
Rutherford Putman addition completed. Thank you

Great pictures! Thank you very much for fulfilling my Photo Requests!
|Judy Johnson||Cora, Bonnie, Paul Dean Merrill|
What a pleasant surprise to see that you transferred some of the Merrill family to me. Thank you. As I stated in my requests that they lived across the street from my family when I was growing up. They had a lot of sadness in those years. I do appreciate your transfers. Merry Christmas!
Thank you for the photo!

Thanks so much for taking time out of your day to find Eugene's grave marker, take a photo of the marker and then post it on Find A Grave to help me with my request. I appreciate your thoughtfulness.
