|Catherine Renschler||John Holland or Mullard|
The information for the memorial came from a transcription of stones in the cemetery. However, after a little searching, I think it may be Holland. I found a John Holland on the 1880 census. He was age 52, born in Ireland, living alone in Newark Township, Kearney County, NE. There is no John Mullard listed.
I also checked the Nebraska Civil War Headstones 1879-1903 listing. There was no John Holland or John Mullard listed. So the stone must have been ordered after 1903.
I am going to change the name to Holland. If you get back to examine the stone, please let me know.

Want to thank you for the picture of Frank and Bertha Lawson's headstone. Really appreciate it. P. Mazankowski
|Howard Martin||Louis and Vada Myers|
Hi Sharon, I just wanted to thank you for posting the image for my great aunt Vada Myers. It's a companion stone, but for some reason no one ever had my great uncles death engraved. Guess I'll need to take care of that myself! May I copy the image and post it to my great uncle Louis as well? Thank you again.
|Peggy Bargen Duey||Velma Thompson marker|
Thanks so much for fulfilling this photo request because she has 2 memorials; the one in Batin Cemetery she doesn't have a marker but I have personally seen the funeral paperwork and the marker in Guide Rock Cemetery. I believe that she was re-interred when Ralph passed away. Hope that this will solve the issue.
Thank you for the obit on Anton Vrana. I have added it to his bio. If you are a relative, please let me know and I will transfer to you.
|Peggy Bargen Duey||RE: THANK YOU|
The editor of The Nelson Gazette allows me to bring home the bound newspaper books and I type obits from them + I also subscribe to newspapers.com and genealogybank.com + there is another site for The Superior Express but it isn't complete. When we go on our research trips I take along my hand-held scanner and scan not only the obits I want but also many others for other memorials. I only wish that the 400+ obits that I have typed in Word, but they don't have the name of the cemetery, would have memorials created....sigh. Thanks for understanding that I want the proof, just like you do, because there is enough inaccurate info out there as it is.

Thank You so much for photographing the gravestone of a teacher from my Guide Rock school years!! Blessings for the good work that you do for F.A.G. Barb
|Peggy Bargen Duey||THANK YOU|
Thanks so much for sending me the info on the stones you have taken pictures of. I greatly appreciate it. You would be surprised how many people add the picture and never send an edit to correct the info. You can always send an edit on the memorial because I will check to see the stone and know that you are correct.
Thank you for the lovely photos.
