I got started in genealogy several years ago while propping my leg and icing my ankle after an injury following Santa down the stairs one Christmas Eve.|
I was bored and even though I did not want the computer that came into my house I started playing around with it. I am self taught on the computer but do the best I can.
I want to leave information about family for my children & grandchildren.
Some surnames I am working on: Bell, Bushing, Cross, Finch, Ganss, Hickle, Keränen, Kriete, Leonard, McNeil, Metcalf, Plain, Thompson, Tulppo & Wells.
This site has been of immense help to me and whenever possible I hope to contribute information I find to it so that maybe others can locate some family information.
I have now started on a project for Stateline Cemetery, Toledo OH. It is a small cemetery with some very old grave markers. I've made several trips there photographing the stones & putting them on this site. Next I hope to obtain written records to either add the names or update what I have already entered. I am hoping this project might help someone down the line.
If I have taken a marker photo feel free to use it as you wish as long as it is not for profit. Look for sec412 to identify photos I've taken.
Please bear with me if I'm slow to reply to messages or do edits as my son, Kevin J. Hickle - FAG# 158026375, passed away today (2/10/2016). I'll do the best I can to handle messages & edits.

|Barb Kumpula||Kaisa & Maime Tullppo|
Hello- I just wanted you to know that we walked the plot section that Kaisa and Maime were listed as being and there was no marker found.
|Danielle Green||Arps Photos|
I fulfilled your request for Marion & Rolfe Arps. I also added photos for Eleanor & Louis, Gloria, Marcelle & Chester, Michael & Perry.
|Penchance||RE: Starr Verran|
You are most welcome. I also added photos to some other Verran memorials, although I don't know if they are related.
|rly133||RE: John Meach|
I took pics of all the Meach/Meechs in the vicinity of John and Dora. You saw Samuel, there is also June & Percy, Myrtle & Forest, Annabelle, Donald, Abner, Susan, Barbara, and Clarence. Some are children. I would be glad to email the pics to you.

|Chris ||Flora Hutton - Southfield Cemetery|
Hello: Thank you for the information on Flora. I've been so busy with Oakwood and Quaker in Farmington that I haven't had any time to work on Southfield. I will add her information...

|Dana Fox Mariner||RE: George Hickle|
If you are on Facebook, his name is Jiggy Smith. He is the one who is the tattoo artist listed.
Do I have the correct rank on his memorial? I like to put the rank next to the name but until recently there was little choice. Judi
|Patrick Lemirande||Ray Edward Krease|
You make a good point on his mother. Ray's sister Floy also lists her mother as Almeda M. Snelling, and father as Peter C. Krease.
I wonder if
Almeda M. Snelling
Almeda M Rhodbeck
are three names their mother went by.
Here is Floy's memorial:
Almeda has a third son, Benjamin Jeremiah Jones. All five are living in the same house in Franklin Ohio for the 1900 census.

I have been out of town, but now can add those extra "Collins" photos. It will be easier for me if you put them in a request.
