Many edits I receive are a copy/paste of info on Ancestry. Sometimes the info is incorrect, even if a dozen trees have the same info it doesn't make it any truer. Just because a Drouin record says 'Mary Merry of Bobtown' it doesn't always mean that the birth, marriage or death happened in Bobtown.

A memorial is complete with the information that is on the headstone.

Some information belongs on an Ancestry family tree, not on a memorial. If there is no date of birth on the stone, it is not necessary to calculate one so that memorials will list in the correct order. I know that many Find A Grave users will not agree.

So if it's not on the headstone, take any information on my memorials with a kilo of salt.

RE: Augustin and Mary Fournier
Thank you for the information, i will check the photo again, and will do some more research on the family. In Ottawa's Notre Dame Cemetery, looking for my great-aunt (maternal) her husband was listed on the headstone but not her, . she is on list of deceased though once i got the burial list apparently when the executor of the plot dies there is no one from the immediate family to look after it and the names are not put on when another member dies. Sad, it makes researching so much harder.

Hi, I finally got it to work. I recognize one other name; Oscar Fournier, was on one of the censuses. I do not recognize Helene, there was an Ellen on one of the censuses. Will look into the Brazeau family. See if i can get them on one of the censuses.

Was there any dates on the headstone? You think the parents would have been recognized.

I had placed a call into the cemetery, but they have not responded.

On another note i am still waiting on a picture of my great-aunt headstone, she is in Hawthorne Dale. My message in the Spring was waiting for the snow to go. I have not had any response to them. I will go and check on it. You have been great, would you be able to go that cemetery, her name is Eva Clifford Bromley in lot 58, no. 103. She died in 1928.

Thank you for our efforts and photos it is much appreciated.

I did however notice there is some writing on the other side of the memorial and wondered whether you had also photographed it as well.

Thank you very much for the picture, and the Moore/Buckminster clue behind the monument. Yes, I am very inclined to treat them as being related. However, knowing the vital dates of these people might help. Also, the Stethem family is related (by marriage). WMBH's daughter Elizabeth (aka, Libby/Lilly) was the first wife of Walter Stethem. I have reason to believe that she and some of her children are buried at Kingston, ON, and am waiting for confirmation from one of the local cemeteries. WMBH's grandson was Col. Hubert Stethem, who superintended POWs in Canada during WW2. Let me know if you come across some more.

RE: Thank you
Yes! I knew that Alex was born in '34, but up until now, none of us knew if he were alive or dead. I hope it's okay that I'm editing your submission.
Again, thank you so much for doing all this!
