Bio Photo Remember the Past ~ Imagine the Future

Volunteer: by definition means "a person who performs a service willingly and without pay." That is what its all about here on Find A Grave; volunteers giving freely of their time and resources. Yes, some have more time than others; more time to add more names, find more info and do more research, but that does not diminish the importance of the contributor who only has time to add just basic names. Sometimes its the smallest clue that brings the biggest results.

PLEASE try to remember because we are dedicated "Gravers" we have stomped through mud puddles, walked for miles, swatted mosquitoes, got stung by fire ants, stood out in 105 degree summer sun and/or froze our rear off on a cold & frosty winter morning - all to get that perfect photo (at our time & expense) others have requested from some remote cemetery out in the "boonies". So please, instead of complaining to us that we misspelled your loved ones name on the memorial pg we made for them (we are human, we all make mistakes, and we are more than happy to correct our typos), please consider how wonderful it would be for us to hear an occasional "thank you for your efforts."

Me, I volunteer in any area where I have the resource material to do so. My primary interest is in Angelina, Llano, Mason, Milam & Williamson counties but I'll research any that I can.
NOTICE: I HAVE CEASED LINKING TO "UNKNOWN" BURIALS, please do NOT ask me to link to them.
* NOTE: Per the Find A Grave guidelines, I do not post photos which I did not take, or have personal ownership of, or permission to use - that means newspaper obit photos (I've only posted a few obit photos in the past but have ceased doing so completely). IF I post an obit photo in the future it means I knew the person or family.(updated Oct 2012)

About Find A Grave: if you are new to Find A Grave (1) PLEASE read the FAQ section BEFORE you start asking for transfers or sending suggestions, corrections, additions, comments, etc. And when you do send your comments/requests (2) PLEASE use the "edit" tab found on each memorial pg to send your msg. Use of the edit tab takes us straight to the name in question and cuts down on mistakes. And (3) Unless I know you and know your work, PLEASE state the source (or reason) for the change/addition in the info (death certificate, obit, census, family Bible, personal knowledge, etc) I know I sometimes forget to add these to my SAC's, so if you need to know where I got my info, just ask me (for me, most will be from TXDC's or the census)

ABOUT MY PERSONAL FAMILY PHOTOS: you DO NOT have permission to take/use any of my personal family photos, period! (unless I personally tell you its ok) If you have interest in any of my personal family lines, contact me, tell me who you are and what your interest in my family names is.

ABOUT THE TOMBSTONE PHOTOS I ADD: if they are your family and you wish to add them to your family trees, yes you may do so, BUT remember to give credit where credit is due and note that you found it on Find A Grave "courtesy of Deb in Angelina Co". On the other hand, you DO NOT have permission to take & re-post my photos from other websites, or those here on Find A Grave, under your name as if you were the photographer. Whether good, bad, old, or new, I recognize my own photos. It's not about "owning", it's about giving another person the credit for the effort they went to, to gather & post data for the benefit of those who are searching for family. Thank you!

Family names of personal interest to me are too many to list, but my main line of research interests are in surnames: Alvis, Baugh, Collins, Coursey, Leslie, Hammond, Mankins, Moore, Mott, Murphy, Roberts, Secrest, Sharp, and numerous names associated with those families. The Honey Creek Cemetery (aka Coursey Cemetery by the old timers) in Llano Co is the resting place for many of my direct family lines. Others are in Bell and Williamson counties.

Other surnames of interest via marital lines are: Camp, Broomfield, Gallion, Kendrick, Keith, Pitts, Martin, Sunday, Tull/Tullos and those associated with them. If you have family history from any of these similar family lines feel free to contact me.

Hi Deb

All that is not necessary, and frequently royally screws things up.

Just edit her family links, to reflect her parents. And everything will work out great.

Her father William Frasier #110880563

her mother Molly Ganaway #98363539

When Find A Grave merges memorials. They are frequently messed up.

If her parents are just linked to her memorial, it will work out great. I don't have to have the memorial. I would just like it to be correct.

She and Michael were most likely married in the American Colony, in Mexico. That is where she would have been in the early 1900's. As her father was an integeral part of it.

Which is why I cannot find their marriage record in Oklahoma, Texas nor New Mexico. Though I know for a fact that they were near DeMoines, New Mexico from about 1908 until late 1919.

Hi Deb

You are indeed correct in stating this memorial is a duplicate of another made long ago.

I sent several corrections to cemetery walker, to no avail.

The only information on Bertha Reichel's memorial under cemetery walker was her givin and surname, year she was born, and died.

She was a cousin of mine, and I was trying to join her to the rest of her family, which was both large, and somewhat famous.

I would be happy to delete the memorial that I created for her, if you would link her, to her parents. Which you will find on the above memorial.

Unlike some, I am not about collecting brownie buttons. The memorials that I create are members of my family.

Deb, I have check your emails, And re: my gg-grandmother, above.... I would like the information you have on a marriage license of her and William J.. I would like a copy of it and where to find it.... Cause you state her last name on that license as ROBERTS,, She never was married to a Roberts...... The memorial you took over on William J has the correct information on him. If you send me an edit I will add him,,...
Now on the other email you sent me on her daughter Mary last maiden name spelling, THAT is way our family said was our correct spelling... I called all my cousins and read them your emails re: our gg-grandmother, we are a close knit family, and stay in touch..... They agree with this message being sent to you. Also on the marriage license, if there is mistakes on it, Only a blood relatives signing sworn statement can correct it.... Waiting to hear from you. Carole

Hi Deb,
The problem I have with this memorial is that we don't know who it is and we evidently have two members adding information for two different men to the same memorial. I received an "edit" with a death date and place of 1871, Nac County and birth place of SC with no date. At the same time, someone has linked children to him and they were all born after he supposedly died. So I looked at census records, added a birth date and then realized that there is a mess on this memorial. Are you related to one of these men? Can you contact me at gina at

Deb, you are so caring and helpful. Thank you so much for your efforts and recommendations on a new marker type. Chris and I plan to go to Lufkin and choose a new headstone. She was loved and deserves a beautiful headstone.

RE: Williams Cemeteries
Thank you Deb, I'm just now seeing your replies. The location is in the old Veach Community East of Broaddus Tx off of Forrest service rd. 304 E. I appreciate you moving these memorials and removing your Memorial of Misti. Now, how to remove those other Williams Cemeteries??? Thanks Again.
