Findagrave is a wonderful website that I appreciate and I am grateful for all of the many, generous contributors, it's also a fun hobby!|
I reside in Oklahoma, LOVE to scuba dive and ENJOY walking cemeteries, I find them both to be beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. I'm a Board Member of the Skiatook Museum, a member of the Hillside Cemetery Association and sit on the Osage Gardens Cemetery Advisory Board (all three are volunteer work).
If you want to learn to make homemade headstones, for a person or a pet... copy & paste this website
or www.apcrp.org It's run by Neal, he's a great guy! Look for the "EDUCATION" link, then look for "CEMETERY PROJECT & HEADSTONES" link, once you get into the website.
I will be happy to transfer your friends or family to your care, my purpose is not to own them. I welcome input, suggestions, family links, will gladly add information or transfer to you so you may make any changes or corrections, etc. If you find any errors or duplicates PLEASE let me know, we all make mistakes. I feel the more information that's added and a headstone photo, makes for a better memorial. I'd like to thank everyone that has contributed to these memorials, for one person can't do it alone.
My stepmother Linda was a major help getting me started in genealogy, THANKS LINDA!
THANKS, NEAL for your wonderful website www.apcrp.org

Thank you for linking William to his parents. You are so dedicated and I appreciate all the time that you put into your volunteer service doing the legwork for others like me that can't physically search the cemeteries as often as I would like.

Thank you so much for the transfer; that wasn't necessary but is very much appreciated!
I haven't received the email you sent, but ideally it is just stuck in the ether somewhere and will show up eventually. (Happens with Gmail sometimes.) Will respond to the email when it arrives or will let you know here later today or tomorrow if it doesn't show up. Thank you again, so very much!!

That's definitely my step-gg-grandfather, then; FM Campbell would be my half-gg-uncle Fred. That is just amazing, as I have been going crazy trying to find out when he died. He and my gg-grandmother were living with their daughter and her family in the 1930 census, so why he was buried in another place is a mystery, but maybe I can figure it all out one day.
Do you actually have copies of these records and, if so, would you be willing to email me scans of them?? I would be eternally grateful; W.O. isn't my blood relative, but he was my great-grandfather's stepfather and married my gg-grandmother when my great-grandfather was a young boy, so he's certainly someone whose history I care about a great deal.
Thank you so much for finding and sharing this info. I really can't tell you how wonderful it is to finally learn where W.O. was laid to rest...and when. I will have to get Oklahoma at some point and visit him and GG-Grandmother...

|DP||W. O. Campbell|
I just found this today and believe this is the grave of my GG-Grandmother's second husband, though I'm mystified as to how he ended up buried in Avant (she, as far as I have been able to discover, is buried in the family plot in Cushing).
Do you have any further knowledge of W.O. Campbell and/or are you a descendant or relative of his? "My" W.O. was also born in May, though I have him as born in 1862, though birth years, of course, can vary depending on the record. He was the son of Irvin(g) Campbell.
Any info you have would be greatly appreciated! And thank you for creating the memorial for him!

Hi, my great grandmother is buried in Hillside and I am trying to locate her obituary for more clues. I read your bio and was wondering if you could guide me. I recently moved to this area and would love to get connected to the Black's who are buried in the Hillside Cemetery. Laurinda Black is my great grandmother. Is there a phone number or website to go to search more. I just got off the phone with Peters-Stumpff Funeral home and for some reason there are no records for the year I need, 1919. I think she said 1911-1927. Thank you, KC MO
