|Jan Bos from Nijmegen, Holland||Lt Raymond A. Runzel and crew|
1st Lieutenant Raymond A. Runzel was pilot of a C-47 tail number 42-68714 and participated in "operation Fustion". The mission for the group [60th Troop Carrier Group] was dropping British paratroopers during the night of 13-14 July 1943 on a dropzone south of Catania, Sicily. The plane was shot down by enemy anti-aircraft fire. All crewmembers were killed and buried in the temporary American GELA Cemetery in Sicily,[group burial]. The men could not be identified individually. After the war the remains of the menw were repatriated and reburied in the New Albany National Cemetery, Indiana in grave F-264-265 [group burial]
I am writing a book about the GELA Cemetery, where over 1,200 men and women were buried between July 1943 and April 1947. Hope to finish my book this year, 2015
You took a picture of the grave and I would like your permission to use the picture for my book project, of course you will be credited and notified when the book is finished
|Patty Locher||George Hollens Jr., WWII KIA|
I am Patty Locher, reporter for the Sabetha Herald, Sabetha, Kansas, which also covers Morrill, which is where George was raised and graduated from high school. I plan to write George Hollens Jr.'s story for our special Memorial Day section this year, and I am hoping to get some information about him from individuals who are related to him or have personal knowledge about him. Please email me at email@example.com with any information and photos that I can use in this article to honor George's memory, as well as any contact information. Since I hope to get my articles completed by early March, I would appreciate an early reply.
Thank you so much for your time and effort!

Thank you so very much for transferring Sr. Susan's memorial to me. She was a teacher that made a big impact on my life, and it's an honor for me to be able to manage her memorial. You've made my day.
|Frank J Hosna||RE: Koch Tubercular Hospital Cemetery|
I created this profile for the same cemetery but a different cemetery name and the moderator corrected and combined all the graves into one cemetery name. That is why there are two pictures. I take pictures that show more than the face of the stone, I show some of the background so people can see the surroundings and find the stone easier in the older cemeteries.
|Jan Isosaari||Hanson D. Merrill|
Hanson was the first husband of my husband's aunt. From the memorial photo it looks like it might have been multiple losses at the same time, is there anything else on the marker that may indicate what happened?

I don't remember thanking you for the photo you added from Palmier Cemetery. If I neglected to, please accept my thanks now. It was very kind!
I appreciate you
