I live in the Martinsville/Henry County Area of VA and would be glad to make any photo you need.

I will only transfer memorials if you state your relationship with the person and are within the guidelines for transfer.

I will also transfer any WWII Veteran to any researcher that needs them.

Obituaries will only be added if you send me the source of the article. Otherwise it violates copyright laws and I will not add them.

Use the EDIT tab to send corrections or suggestions. If you e-mail me direct your message will probably go to my Junk Mail and I won't see it.

Since we are all adults on this site...personal attacks are unwelcome and uncalled for and will be reported to the administration.

RE: My gratitude - Bridget Nolan Quirk inquiry
You are amazing! How do you keep up with so many entries? Thank you very much for your help.
Should I delete the memorial that turns out to be incorrect in saying that the marker lists just "Quirk, Mom and Dad"? (My information is that originally it was labeled that way but sometime later the names were spelled out fully. kathleen

RE: Nick D Abate
Here is the reply from the cemetery office:

They are one in the same person. He was originally in Section 56 - Tier 16 - Space 168 here at Mt. Olivet. Below is the information that we have for Dominic (Nick) D. Abate:

Date of death - 2/28/1945
Date of interment - 1/8/1949 (moved to current location on 6/25/1970)
Location - Section A - Garden of the Rosary - Tier 5 - Space 212

so it seems your assumption about him being buried elsewhere and moved was indeed correct. His name is really Dominic D (aka Nick) . go ahead and repost your photo request for him.

Can you link his father to him? his father's memorial # is 135634105?
i am not related either. but glad to have helped.

RE: L I National
Hi Jan, Those last three are all filled. It feels like the end of an era. It has been a pleasure to do whatever I could.
Happy trails....Glenn

Hi Janice, :-) Thanks for the updates on him ... that gets us a little closer to finding out where he is interred. :-)

If you like challenges .... Check out my first virtual cemetery .... The reason there are only 13 listed is because even though I have the names of the rest of them .... I can't find "enlistment" records for any of the others "or" where they are interred .... I'm going to start making "unknown" memorial's for them .... just haven't started it as of yet. If you are interested in searching along with me please let me know. Send me a email. :-)

RE: Meredith Manning
Janice, Meredith Manning is my Great-Grandfather and Luther Leonard Manning is my Grandfather. If you want, you can contact me via my personal email address. How do I send a private message in order to give to you my private email address? I am a novice with this service.

My father is Charles Leonard Manning and we just lost him on April 2nd. I want to research photos, etc. in order to make a family scrapbook and to keep up with my family history.

RE: Henderson and Samantha Caudle
Cousin, of course you can copy them for your records. Polly sent them to me some time back. I had to work with them, so they could be read better. Glad to help. Thanks again for adding the poem to our G-G-Great Grandfather a couple of years back, that I requested. Take care, Loy

William Caudle sponsership
William's son, Ellis, was my greatx3 grandfather (William, Ellis, Ellis Newton, David "Dee", Ernest). Hopefully, the grave I found is my William.
