 | RE: Emily Rhymes Yes, she may very well be in an unmarked grave as I observed approx 20 which have rocks/stones but no markings. | | | Hal Herrin
 | Emily Rhymes You added this name to Quicksand Cemetery in Newton County, Tx and requested a photo of the marker. I seached the cemetery and will return and search again in a couple of weeks. Did you actually see the grave in person or add it from an obituary? Thanks | | | redhead0ca

 | RE: Tribbys at Moorhead, Holmes Co, OH Thank you Beth. I assume you're referring to the Thomas Tribby buried there, husband of Deborah. As to the mysteries regarding the cemetery, I just took a close look at the photo of the cemetery entrance, clearly at a church, and read the caption that says it is located at the Moorhead Mennonite Church. Does that mean that our Tribbys were Mennonite? Were only Mennonites buried there? Maybe I can find someone in that area who knows the history.Added by Ken Y on Oct 30, 2012 9:15 AM | | | Ken Y
 | Tribbys at Moorhead, Holmes Co, OH Hi Beth, I'm a direct descendant of John Tribby and Lydia (Poulson) Tribby, buried at Moorhead, Holmes Co, OH. I think that John was the brother of the Thomas Tribby also buried there, and Lydia was the sister of Thomas's wife, Deborah Poulson Tribby. And I agree - it looks like most of the other Tribbys buried there (Landon, William, James, Jasper and Nancy) are children of Thomas and Deborah.
I'm hoping you might be able to clear up some confusion on the cemetery itself. I see that some family histories on Rootsweb refer to it as Morehead Cemetery. Then I found a cemetery transcript on the holmeslibrary.org site that lists most of the same Tribbys but identifies it as Moreland Cemetery. Then to further confuse matters, I found a short transcript on the ohiogravestones.org site for the Moorhead Mennonite Cemetery in Holmes Co., but listing only 4 members of the McCollough family.
Also, I'm wondering about the location of Moorhead Cemetery, whether it could be located on land west of Holmesville that was once owned by the Moreland/Moland family?
Appreciate anything you can do to clear up my confusion.
