There is a word for men that lose their wives, wives that lose their husbands, children that lose their parents.|
There is no word for a mother who loses her child...
If I have created a memorial for a family member of yours, don't hesitate to request a transfer.
Any photo I have posted on Find a Grave is intended to be used.... Please feel free to use them in personal use and documentation.
Links, Corrections, Transfers and/or additional information
If you will please use the "Edit" tab located on each memorial, I will be more than happy to correct, edit or add information to a memorial that is meaningful. I will not add all of the information from the past ten census records that have been released or any distasteful or disturbing messages.
✔ PLEASE NOTE!!!
Find a Grave does not require that I search the entire Find a Grave system globally, only the individual cemeteries in which I am adding to. Please do not move your Burial Unknown into the correct cemetery based on the information you found from my memorial & then demand that I delete my duplicate. For further information on this, please refer to how Find a Grave handles duplicate memorials.
Lastly and most importantly, there are so many absolutely wonderful people that use Find-A-Grave! I am very appreciative for all of the suggested corrections, additional information and photos that have been provided. Please don't allow the rude, abusive and sometimes rather bizarre behavior of individuals to curb your enthusiasm or your want to help others.
MOTTO TO LIVE BY
"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!"
- Hunter S. Thompson

Hi Linda, Thank-you for getting back to me. I was able to remove my name from John J. Coffey's page. Also thank-you so much for the picture on my dad's page. Linda Nunley

I saw your comments on your FindaGrave profile:
"There is a word for men that lose their wives,
wives that lose their husbands,
children that lose their parents.
There is no word for a parent who loses their child..."
As a once single parent, who lost his only child (killed at age 17), I cannot believe that I have never heard/read this or thought about that concept.
Thanks you for sharing it! I hope that your reason for doing so was simply "food for thought" rather then from personal experience. If it was the later, then you have my understanding and condolences.

There is no monument, just somebody who is no longer active on Find A Grave entered over 60 entries in Linden Grove Cemetery of men who were later moved to Camp Nelson.

I finally decided to go back to Emma's memorial and deleted her parentage as given on her Death Certificate by her granddaughter Maggie, figuring it was probably to far in the distant past for a granddaughter to know much about.
Then I accepted the maiden name as Bunch since, as you pointed out, that info came from Emma herself, when she was the informant on her son's Death Certificate. AND, Lester (listed as Elister) does show up as a 23-year-old son in the 1920 Nashville, Tennessee household of Sam Chandler and his wife Emma.

143199524 for Emma (Chandler) McCarroll and your 'suggestion' that I change her maiden name to Bunch instead of Chandler: I'd be happy to do just that if you can show me some primary documentation that shows her maiden name as Bunch.
At the moment I have her maiden name and her married name as Chandler as per her Death Certificate, and I have her mother's maiden name as Bunch or Bunshe.
Just wanting to make sure about which name should be listed as Emma's maiden name, and why.

A transcription is what is on the tombstone.
When you sent the obit before, I put it in the bio. Now what you sent seems more like what might be on the tombstone. I accepted it.
Let's hope it is. Since I don't have a tombstone picture, I don't know what is on the tombstone.

Hi Linda, I contacted you a couple of weeks ago about my fathers grave page. My father's name is John B. Coffey buried at Memorial gardens in Brea, California. My fathers page showed the grave marker of John J. Coffey who is also buried at Memorial Gardens. You got the photos removed from my fathers page. However it states on John J. Coffey's page that I am maintaining his page which I am not and never have. I don't know the man. I don't know how to remove my name.

Thank you for your quick response in my request for a picture of his headstone.

See this memorial. Can you find an obit for him?

Thank you. That is sufficient.
