Any memorial page I have created I have a picture of the headstone. |
If you want a photo officially request one, don't bury your request in a spouse or another family members photo request.
Too many volunteers are now asking for other volunteers to do their research, please try and do your own on your time.
I take responsibility ONLY for the information obtained from the headstone unless otherwise specified by me. There are very few exceptions.
Due to the changes and procedures for adding addition information it is very time consuming to include the source. Find A Grave DOES NOT provide a way to show where the information comes from.
In light of these changes and the automated edit system, which makes it almost impossible to deny acceptance of changes and addition, I have been transferring all memorial pages to those wishing to make edits. This too has become too time consuming.
Therefore, in order to include the changes whether the information is CORRECT OR NOT I feel I am being forced to accept all edits. I hate this part because I have had quite a few people send edits only to resend two or three times in order to make corrections.
If you find errors send corrections but do not, I repeat DO NOT ask me about the information posted or hold me responsible for the additions. This goes against all genealogical best practices, but the only other solution would be to take down all the memorials and pictures I have posted.
If you find an error, double listing or double picture please let me know so I can correct the problem.
I have in the past used a picture of the cemetery gate/sign with "Office couldn't locate a burial for this person" imprinted on it. If you get this posting and do find a picture of you persons tombstone, let me know and I will remove it.
SHOULD YOU WISH TO MANAGE A MEMORIAL PAGE, PLEASE JUST ASK FOR A TRANSFER.

Thanks, Karen, for the marker photo for Bert Beaman. Looks very nice.

Karen, Thank you so much for uploading the photo from the cemetery and pointing out Dallas' area. I had no idea there was no marker there. I just recently found his grandchildren and I don't know that they are aware of this. I will be sure to pass it on. Thank you again! Kim
Karen - Thank you so much for taking a photograph of the area in which my great aunt, Sarah Boyd, is buried in the Boyd family plot. That was very kind of you. I seem to recall that she had a flat cement name marker on her grave and have written to PL cemetery to inquire if the grass could have grown over it. Your photograph alerted me to the potential problem, so I appreciate your photo very much. Colleen

Many thanks for fulfilling the photo request on Nathaniel and Mary Young. This information will allow me to further research this line. Your contribution in this matter is much appreciated.

I think it would be ok to leave it up. Thank you for the offer though.

Wow - great. You never know if a marker will be placed or not. Appreciate it.
Thank you for getting the photo of the area he was laid to rest. I was hoping for a stone with some sort of inscription about his death but no marker at all. Very tragic. I guess he just couldn't catch a break.

Thank you very much.

I was going over old messages and found one re: a marker for Pat and/or Al Roundtree in Washelli. At the time there wasn't a marker. I wonder if one has been installed now. I sent in a photo request via the memorial but thought I'd message abt why I was asking again. Thank you, Karen
