If you have control of the memorial, then you can enter information that you may have, for example the obituary. But now that you have given me the name, I do not have control of the memorial so I can not transfer it to you. I simply added the picture of stone. I'm glad that I was able to help.

Allison - If you would tell me who your father is, I would be happy to transfer the memorial to you. Marcella

I just saw the picture of George Huffines' cemetery. He is my 3rd GGF. Do you happen to know what the inscription says at the bottom of the tombstone?
It looks like the stone has been cleaned since the original picture was taken. I am wanting to clean up a tombstone of a relative. If you cleaned his stone, can you share what you used to clean it?
Hi Allison, I saw the duplicate to Aaron Garner Carlton's memorial established by Dorothy Boynton long after the one that I established. Have not had a response back from her regarding her possible relationship as a descendant of theirs. I'm not sure that she is still active with the website or not. I'd love to talk with her about the family history and all the research she has done. Incidentally, I saw on your profile page a message from a Daniel Vaughn and his relationship to Stephen Vaughn. What a small world indeed. This Daniel Vaughn was one of my instructors a few years back when I was taking photography classes at Nashville State Community College! He often takes photos for people in the county where I reside.
Until later, Helen

|Daniel Vaughn||Roxie Ann Vaughn (1872-1963)|
Saw your note attached to the subject individual. I descend from Roxie's Uncle, Stephen Vaughn (1821-1859). We have no information that shows Roxie ever got married. She was born 1872 in Giles County, TN to Mary H Vaughn (1844-1900), the second wife of Edward Owen Vaughn (1829-1899). The only gap of time that we cannot account for Roxie is between the 1880 and 1900 census. All other records show her living with parents or brothers. If you are on ancestry.com I invite you to view the "Vaughn Family Tree" owned by dickievaughn13 to see her page.
There is another Roxie Ann Vaughn (Vaughn by marriage)from Texas that I believe died in California.
Hope some of this information helps out. Feel free to contact me if I can provide additional information.

Hi Allison, so great to make this connection with you through this website! I just love how total strangers working on their family trees find long lost relatives like this! This is how you and I are cousins:
Me, born 18 March 1961, Lawton,OK
Father: Grant Walter Pickens (1936-1990)
Grandfather: Earl Abner Pickens (1903-1972)
G-Grandmother: Susie Modena Hawkins Pickens (1889-1966)
GG-Grandmother: Mary Elizabeth Carlton Hawkins (1859-1940) **Noted as 'Lizzer' in her obituary
GG-Grandfather: Aaron G. Carlton (1834-1914) and wife Mary Busby Carlton (1838-1892).
I have sent a message to the other cousin, Dorothy Boynton who is also a parallel descendant of the Aaron Garner Carlton family, would love to see more photos of this family!
The hydrangeas you see in my profile picture were a gift from a sweet friend as a gift for being her labor coach/staff nurse during the labor and birth of her son, Jackson last year. They were so incredibly beautiful while they were fresh and I was so excited to see them return the next year after being planted in a spot in front of our house but alas, they did not make it. Boo on my gardening skills. And speaking of Crepe Myrtles, they are certainly abundant here in the South and we have several along our driveway at our house here, they are definitely hearty and provide lots of bright blooms for several months of the year.
What part of Oklahoma are you from? I was born in Lawton and have family scattered throughout the state, mainly in Oklahoma City, Elmore City and Garvin County, Lawton and several other cities. My mother and I were just in OKC a couple of months ago!

Hi Allison, I see that you left a message on the memorial for Aron Garner Carlton who is buried in Klondike Cemetery in Garvin County. Would love to connect with you as we must be cousins! Aaron's daughter, Mary Elizabeth married Robert Hawkins - she was my GG-Grandmother! Warmly, Helen Pickens Murphy, Nashville, Tennessee
