Bio and Links
Bio Photo Past President of the Mount Vernon Genealogical Society ( & author of New Copies of Old Records from Hebron CT, 1708-1875 (Heritage Books, 2011) & various articles on New England genealogy.I have transcribed Litchfield County, CT cemeteries from the Hale Collection because I'm looking for 18th Century collateral ancestors in our Birge, Fox, Hatch, Holcomb, Hindman, Hunt, Noble, Peck, Thompson, Wilcox, & Willson lines. If you are related to other families in these cemeteries, let me know & I will transfer ownership of memorials with your surnames to you so you can add information and links. I have many other Connecticut ancestors in central Connecticut cemeteries, where I will also transfer memorials unrelated to our family. Most of my Connecticut memorials are copied from the Hale Collection, which transcribed all Connecticut tombstones during the Depression. The transcription is not error-free, but Hale was able to read things then which are no longer legible today. The New Hampshire entries are all from Colonial Gravestone Inscriptions in the State of NH, by Mrs. Charles Goss (1942). None are close relations of mine, so if you want to make additions or corrections, please just request a transfer. When contacting me about a specific memorial, PLEASE do so from the Edit:Corrections & Queries tab on the memorial itself. This makes it SO much easier for me to respond quickly & accurately.

Mary Kimball

I think you made an error on her marriage date; she could not have married on that date because she was not born until 1658.

Mary Kimball Knowlton

Birth: Dec. 10, 1658

Massachusetts, USA
Death: Unknown

Married Deacon Thomas Knowlton, 17 May 1642, Ipswich MA.

Thanks for the Coleby edits. They are not my direct line but it's nice to connect the family.

Coman Family in Thompson
Hello, Linda. I've been connecting some of my Coman relatives, and I find that in a few memorials you posted, such as #85117420, the name is entered correctly in the heading, as on the tombstone, but in the notes, the name was spelled "CODMAN." Could you go through and correct these?

Foster Family in Salem
Hi Linda, another question please. What is your source for the birth of Thomas Foster, son of John of Salem? That I am aware of John Foster did not have a son named Thomas.

Thanks, Karen Adams

Foster Family in Salem
Hello Linda,

I'm wondering if you would share your source on John Foster of Salem. I show he died in Salem 12 Nov 1685 and you have him dying in England.

Thanks so much,
Karen Adams

Mary Perkins Bradbury
Hi Linda,
Mary Perkins Bradbury was my 8X great grandmother. I have talked to Kathleen who takes care of records for Bartlett Cemetery in Amesbury, MA. (I am in MA now from AZ and searching for my ancestors.). Kathleen says that Bartlett Cemetery has only been used for about 100 years and that she does not have a record for Mary Perkins Bradbury. Her husband Thomas is buried in Salisbury. Could you please fill me in on how you got this information? Is it possible that she is buried elsewhere? I am very interested in finding her gravesite and also in accuracy. Thank you very much.
