Past President of the Mount Vernon Genealogical Society (www.mvgenealogy.org) & author of New Copies of Old Records from Hebron CT, 1708-1875 (Heritage Books, 2011) & various articles on New England genealogy.|
I have transcribed Litchfield County, CT cemeteries from the Hale Collection because I'm looking for 18th Century collateral ancestors in our Birge, Fox, Hatch, Holcomb, Hindman, Hunt, Noble, Peck, Thompson, Wilcox, & Willson lines. If you are related to other families in these cemeteries, let me know & I will transfer ownership of memorials with your surnames to you so you can add information and links. I have many other Connecticut ancestors in central Connecticut cemeteries, where I will also transfer memorials unrelated to our family.
Most of my Connecticut memorials are copied from the Hale Collection, which transcribed all Connecticut tombstones during the Depression. The transcription is not error-free, but Hale was able to read things then which are no longer legible today.
The New Hampshire entries are all from Colonial Gravestone Inscriptions in the State of NH, by Mrs. Charles Goss (1942). None are close relations of mine, so if you want to make additions or corrections, please just request a transfer.
When contacting me about a specific memorial, PLEASE do so from the Edit:Corrections & Queries tab on the memorial itself. This makes it SO much easier for me to respond quickly & accurately.

|Mary Bell||Charles Engstrom|
Thank you for posting info and a picture for my grandmother, Angelena Engstrom who is interred at Spring Grove Cemetary; however, I would like for you to also add an entry for my grandfather, Charles Engstrom. They are buried together with one shared marker.
|Michelle Guthrie||Memorial # 33767495|
William Basset's Birth year of 1621 and birth place of Spilsby, Lincolnshire, England was obtained by me thru records. You have listed as year of birth as 1624 and place of Birth as Surrey, England which is incorrect. I would appreciate if you fixed my 9th great-grandfathers information.

Hello. My recent edit suggestions are based on the United States Census, 1920 and the Connecticut Deaths and Burials, 1772-1934.
Find A Grave#36633969 & Find A Grave#76446463 for Adam MOTT. I believe the (burial unknown mem.) REGARDLESS of the creation date; should either be merged with the KNOWN PLACE OF BURIAL or REMOVED ENTIRELY. Sandy

|Cathleen Sheibley Miller Kalin||Deacon Richard Butler|
So I am confused by all of the memorials for Richard Butler. It looks like yours was first but you don't list all of his children. Have you done a complete genealogy on him? I am descended from his daughter Mary Butler Washburn Hicks who married Judge Thomas Hicks.
So much on the internet can be confusing.
Need your help.

I have added the picture and deleted the memorial. Thanks
