Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada and started my genealogy hobby in 2008. That lasted for less than a year, and then I started again in the winter of 2011. I'm not a professional, but monitor, and have volunteered to answer some easy questions and requests for Medicine Hat and area. I'm a member of the Genealogical Society of Medicine Hat, here in Canada.

I am attempting to place all my family tree research on the computer.
I love to see the photos on FIND A GRAVE, this is why I like to help with this web site. I was happy to see my grandmother's biography that someone else had made up, thus I was hooked to add the rest of my family and help others with theirs. So it's not my fault that I've become obsessed with the family history. I have a need to connect the dots. I am happy to be a part of this great web site.

My grandparents would of had a field day with all the information that is at our fingertips today? Many thanks go out to all the volunteers through the various groups, like Find A Grave that give their time to help put the family puzzles together.

Names I am researching: Harnack/Harnock or Harnick, Bennett, Court, Henry, Housley, Winslow, Proudy, and . Shields

RE: William James Greer and family in Portland
Hoooray, you are alive! :-]
OK, thanks for letting me know.
That is a neat family plot. I thought it would be fun to do it justice and give them really good pictures and I got a real good workout in the process. I need the exercise. It gets me up off my computer chair.

William James Greer and family in Portland
You added the following people to Find A Grave in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery in Portland.
Orien Schoonhoven, Find A Grave #= 99830315
Bertha Schoonhoven, Find A Grave #= 99830058
William Greer, Find A Grave #= 99828889
Fannie Greer, Find A Grave #= 99828665
Nettie Taylor, Find A Grave #= 99829215
Frank Taylor, Find A Grave #= 99829663
If you open one of these pages they are all linked together and you can click from one page to the next.
Someone just recently put in a request for pictures of William Greer's grave and I claimed the request. I had no idea when I claimed the request that there were 5 other people from his family in the same grave plot with him.
Someone made a duplicate page for William and that is what the request was made for, the other page for William with next to no info on him. I need to ask that person to delete that page they made. I am not adding pics to that poorly done duplicate page but am adding them to the above pages.
The reason I am writing is to ask if you could possibly delete the pictures you took from the above mentioned pages? I get kind of carried away when I take pictures! I spent nearly two hours out there in the hot sun scrubbing and cleaning that whole family plot so I could get good pictures. You will see on their pages one of the pics I took of each. I have a few more pics I would like to add to the pages and it would make more room if the ones you took were not on there if that is ok with you. I hope you don't mind me adding pics to these pages. I used quite a bit of grease on these gravestones cleaning them up; you know, "elbow grease". :-]

George Bennett
Hey Dean,

I fulfilled a gravestone request for George Bennett and his wife Martha Esella. I talked to the cemetery foreman for information on where they were buried to find them for photographing the stone. While talking to the man, he gave me a digital copy of the information that they had. It has some information about occupation and cause of death and somethings that I thought you might like. Feel free to contact me if you would like this information.

RE: Hillside Cemetery Blossoms
Hello Dean: Thank You Very Much for the update. I'm very much looking forward to the photos. I would imagine that both time and snow would be a factor - this genealogy can be so consuming. Take Care, Greg.

Carl and Judi
Hi Dean,
I just added photos for Andrew and Elizabeth Paisley at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Modesto. James Paisley is also buried there. Not sure whether he's a relative, but I did add a photo for him as well.

Bennett - Lake View Cem, Stettler
Hi Dean,
I made a trip over to Stettler this weekend, and just wondered if you had Bennett relatives in the cemetery there? If so, I have 4 headstone photos for you.

John Quiring
John Edward Tracy
Recently I posted a picture of John E. Tracy's marker for you. I did not find his wife's marker (Maria Boblit Tracy Forbes until today. The Tracy stone has a mulberry bush growing around it and under the lower branches were two small markers with faint lettering FATHER and MOTHER. I assume that these are John and Maria. Anyway, if you are related or know someone in Nebraska who is these grave sites could use some attention.

Richard shute
Hi Dean, so I was at Fairmount today and asked the lady there for location of Richard Shute. She did not have that name. Any ideas? Are you sure he is buried there? Sue
