I have suggested many corrections, most are appreciated, some are not. I do not wish to offend anyone, I am not trying to point out other's errors (I've made more than my fair share), my goal is to improve memorials. What better way to honor someone than by having the name correct on the memorial!

Searches are affected by quotation marks. Give your memorial the best chance of being found, don't use quotation marks.

(If I can catch one as it flies by.)
Isn't it interesting that there is seldom enough time or money to do something right the first time, but enough of both to do it over.

RE: Trascribing photo - Gorton Cemetery
Ah, right. Can't you add the names to the cemetery and then re-transcribe it?

Chaline Family
Hi Joe, I am just now finding that you have memorials for the Chaline women. First: thank you for creating the memorials. Second: I,too, have memorials for them. Before I delete mine I wanted to check if you are in any way related to them and if you would have any more information or photos for them? My granddaughter's middle name is Chaline after this family. My son married into the family. That is my interest. I look forward to hearing from you. Regina Kay

Quotation marks
Glad to know the cause. I have been on here for years and when I started it was so different, but when you entered the name, there wasn't a nickname slot. Everyone just put quotation marks on the name and entered it into the middle name field beside the middle name. I guess after all the changes it got tosses around somewhat and unless you go into each of them and look and see if it's invisible to me that is the case, or is in italics as a maiden name that's what happened, Thanks

Hi Joe -
You seemed to have stumbled onto a glitch in the system. with your maiden names & nicknames. I suggest you report this to Find A Grave so they can get to work on it to get it fixed. (glad it's not me going through that program to find that hick-up)
Thanks, Carol

Quotation marks
Strange about the quotation marks with the nickname placed in the maiden name slot. Actually I didn't put it there, I have had several drawn to my attention and most being in Lincoln Co, Cem. Not sure what is going on, but I didn't put Richmond L. Hust as maiden name name "Little". What is so strange is when I go to my page and try to edit it from there, it isn't there. The only thing showing is Richmond L. Hust. The word "Little" isn't there anywhere. Someone else had to have had it put in.
I do know he went by that as a nickname though. I can click on the "process selective edits" at the bottom of the page and it will put the name Little then as nickname. I had redone a lot of mine from a long time ago ,(before they added the new edit system a few years ago), because you use to have to use "xx" marks for nicknames and such, but that was years ago. Wondering if it's a glitch from then, that all those were thrown into the new system as "xx" and just put in maiden name slot?? Oh well, corrected now, but strange it won't show up on my page??

Find A Grave automatically puts all nicknames within quotation marks.
Find A Grave automatically puts all maiden names in italics.
Since the memorial is named in accordance with this and does not contain a maiden name, I see no need for change.

Richard Little
I don't know where the "Dick" came from that was put in as a maiden name. I didn't do it, I checked. When I refreshed the page it was gone. This isn't the first time I've found changes to my memorials that weren't done by me. Anyway I will go ahead with your edit.
