Phil, I just finished the 1st 10 last night. One is actually buried and all others are unknown burials.
Glad I can help get the information out.
|Ms. Clyde||David Richie|
Your memorial for David is 168422186
David was reared in Chickasha, Oklahoma and attended Lincoln Elementary and graduated from Chickasha High School. He continued his education by attending the Canadian Valley Vocational Educational School. There he became certified in Heating and Air along with Small Appliances.
David started his career by working for First National Bank of Chickasha for 15 years. During this time, and since, he was a determined man (by all means necessary) to became a supervisor. David was also an Entrepreneur. He opened a clothing store, liquor store, and then a hair supply store. David wasn’t finished yet, he began buying real estate in the Chickasha and Anadarko areas. While doing all of these things, he ran for, and was elected, for a term of two years, City Councilman. Crockett was a well-liked, multi-talented son, brother, father, and friend.
David was married to Deedra Millier, to this union one son was born, David, Jr. He later united in matrimony to Marletta Bell. His father and brother Darrell preceded him in death. If only we could have seen Crockett and Darrell meet together on the other side.
He leaves to mourn four children: Krashima Walls Banks of Picayune, Mississippi; David Richie of Anadarko; Roderick Givens of Chickasha; and Johanna Richie of Anadarko. Six grandchildren: Kimora, Donovan, Otes, Kamiya, Elaza and Cordae. He also leaves to cherish his memory his mother Dollie Richie of Oklahoma City; five sisters: Deborah Jefferson; Melba Johnson (James); Sibohan Hines (Reginald) of Oklahoma City; Terry Richie of Houston, Texas; Rhonda Haggins (Charlie) of Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Also, two brothers: Brad Richie of Moore and Reginald Richie of Chickasha; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Obit courtesy of Brown-Thomas Funeral Home, Chickasha.

|Kay (Phillips) Skinner||RE: Lynda Presslar and Mattie Pearl|
I have an Aunt that researched the family tree. I will have to look for the CD she made of ancestors to see. It would be easier for me if u use my email instead of find a grave for everyone. I am busy the next few days but hopefully by Tuesday I will be slowed down some so I can look for the info. I'm not sure where I put all the stuff when my dad died. It may be in storage. If u get me a list, in email, if I can't find CD, I can try to see if my aunt remembers the research

Ok it said on Lynda Presslars page if anyone knew of her family to respond. I was responding that I am kin to her through Mattie Pearl . Her daughter Cecil Moore Phillips , is my grandmother. She was the eldest child. email@example.com

Thanks for your prompt reply. Not sure what Brown Water Navy is but I would guess maybe river boats. If has not already done so he should record his service on the US NAVY portion of togetherweserved.com website. Welcome Home back at you!

Again, thanks for responding.
Yes, I have a huge version of my father's HAMMONDs and STRICKLANDs. And then I also have my mother's MONEYs and JOHNSONs etc, etc. all in ancestry.com. Do you have access to it? It is a great place to search and store and create versions of research.
Of course, each family tree is only as good, or I should say, as correct, as the records, and the verification of accuracy. But ancestry.com is a great starting place, and a good place to store possibilities. And it's easy to correct or remove people and records, if you discover an error.
If you don't mind, would you respond to me with my email: firstname.lastname@example.org
I can write and do better in that format, and not in this messaging on FindAGrave.

Thanks for responding. Hope I didn't offend with my questions/concerns. I agree that all duplicates in FindAGrave need to be resolved. And indeed, it seems someone has acted accordingly. I now see that only #60197654 is posted for "Mattie Pauline", and now do not find duplicates for parents C.E. and Leola.
As I mentioned previously, we are related. You are I are 3rd cousins. It seems our Grt Grandfathers (mine- Elijah Phillip Strickland, yours - John W. Strickland) were brothers and sons of Andrew Jackson Strickland (181-1880). I notice that your Grt Grandfather John W., and our Grt Grt Grandfather Andrew J., both died in 1880, a few months apart. I grew up in Chattooga CO. GA. and live very near where Andrew J. and son Elijah Phillip and other Stricklands are buried. Been to those cemeteries many times searching for others. In fact there are several Strickland relatives who disagree about Andrew J's father. Some believe him to be Sion, and I currently have Reuben. SO the search is still in progress.
