I am happy to add additional info anyone provides me on my memorials, but PLEASE read the website's FAQ's on what can and can not be used first. |
Pictured with me is an uncle I didn't know existed, that I found by "Googling" my grandfather's name...and genealogy has been an addiction ever since!
Some of our family surnames I am currently researching:
Alexander, Campbell, Carter, Cloyd, Dawson, Mullinax, O'Neil/O'Neal, Peek/Peak, Puryear, Robertson/Robinson, Sampson, Snoddy, Vantrease
Bowman, Burger, Combs/Coombs, DuVal/Duvall, Fitzwater, Lidke, Lucas, Porter, Sawyer, Snow, Wood

|Beverley Zierow||William Merritt Weld|
Memorial 69642422; the picture I downloaded is for the man who is bald. Altho I gave the image the title William Merritt Weld, it does not appear on his memorial page. I have other pictures of him too.
Hi .. someone sent me info that the picture you added of william weld is actually Calvin Chaffee (His father in law) They have added a picture of both William and Catherine to the memorials. Would you verify your picture please.

You have placed a photo of Calvin Chafee (lived in Rhinelander, Wisconsin) on the William Merritt Weld memorial. Calvin Chafee was the father to William's wife, Catherine Elizabeth Chafee. William & Catherine are my great-grandparents.

You are always welcome. Will keep checking. That north side will be easier to read on a rainy day, when there isn't so much contrast. If I can catch Cynthia at the office on a slow day, I'll ask.

I noticed you had a photo request for Eugene Moser. I did a survey of this cemetery in the 1980's and I did not find this stone. The property has been sold several times since then, and I believe it is in worse shape now.
However, in the book by Acklen (I think) called
Tombstone inscriptions she gives the following:
E M Moser June 18, 1868 Jan 6, 1891
Hope that helps you.

Checked J. L. Alexander's plot at Mt Olivet today, and there is plenty of room for a lot of folks. No marker for Mrs. Alexander, however, nor inscription on her husband's monument. Daughter Maggie had an inscription on the north face, so have sent link and dates to her memorial's manager. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!

Hi, Mary! Good to "see" you again. Wanted to let you know that I wasn't aware there was a photo request (hadn't looked), so didn't see the reference to Mrs. L. As you can see by my photo, I wouldn't likely have been able to tell, even if I'd known to look. However, will keep her on my list. The monument is near the Grays, and that's easy to remember since they're family.
