|CJames||RE: Sylvestria Cemetery|
The location for Sylvestria on findagrave appears to be the same/or near the location for Sylvestria/Sylvestra in the book. But, the four listed in Sylvestria on findagrave are not listed in the book under Sylvester/Sylvestria. However, that does not mean they aren't there. The Sylvester cemetery on findagrave contains the people listed in Sylvestria/Sylvestra in the book, but there is no map for it on findagrave to compare to. None of the entries in either are ones that I have done. So, I can't really help any further, nor can I guarantee any correctness for the book.

Hi Linda, I did not start either cemetery, but I added to both. But, the ones entered in the one were on a different day then the ones entered in the other and were not on the same page in the book. So, while I suppose I could have mistakenly added it to the incorrect cemetery myself, it isn't likely. But, yes, I deleted because I looked & it shows Sylvestra

Thanks for great investigative work.
I'll head down to Holly Springs, find the location of Sylvester (Sylvestria) and point and shoot my little digital camera. I need a good camera trip anyway.
Oh, it will have to wait for two reasons-- 1) heading to Fort Lauderdale next week and 2) summer lighting problems just kill me this time of the year.

Oh - that sounds wonderful and I am glad you enjoyed your visit.
I deleted his as well as others. Somehow, the two cemeteries combined. I would blame it on myself, but I didn't do the two on the same day & they weren't on the same page for me to have chosen the wrong cemetery by mistake. Hope it didn't mess anyone else up. I'm glad you contacted me.

From an old Marshall County cemetery book.
I'm thinking this cemetery might have two names.

I created memorials to help people from a book of transcriptions of the Cemeteries of Marshall County. I suppose it is possible that they listed him in the incorrect cemetery, or perhaps the cemetery has changed names or the two run together. I am not in MS, so I don't know for sure. The transcriptions from this book have been very helpful to others & have been entered correctly. I will be happy to delete it if you find it is incorrect.

I am working from the cemetery records. Hopefully, the additional info will help loved ones and/or genealogists. There are hundreds of unmarked graves in this cemetery, unfortunately.
Thank you for processing the edits so quickly and for everything you are doing to preserve the memory of those that have gone before.

Name on memorial says Levorn...and yes, I will look for a stone in St. Peters my next trip over there. I did not find a stone in Greenwood.
I have come across this mixup on these two cemeteries before. St. Peters and Greenwood are side by side and it isn't real clear just where the division is so I went over to St. Peters church and asked about it. Thanks for the note.

Memorial transfered. I am not related, I just mowed the rows back a couple of months ago to finish out the cemetery. As you can see, this cemetery is not far from Green County Wisconsin, so that's a suggestion for future research also.
