Genealogy has been my hobby since I was a teenager. I research all of my lines with equal passion. |
However, I have the most information on my Sprankle-Sprenkle-Sprinkle family. That is because I research all the Sprankle-Sprenkle-Sprinkle branches. Thanks to the Sprenkel DNA Project, we have learned that virtually all Sprankle-Sprenkle-Sprinkle families in this country are part of the same family. Note that these surnames are also spelled Sprankel-Sprenkel-Sprinkel-Sprinkles. One branch uses the Sprengle spelling.
Nearly all of the memorials I create or manage at Find A Grave are for people who are on my family tree. Rarely do I create memorials for individuals who are not connected to me in some manner. And, each memorial I create or manage is special to me.
Find A Grave is such a wonderful concept, and it is a marvelous resource for genealogists.
Please do not add death certificate images to the memorials I create. I feel that a death certificate is a rather private, personal thing, and it is not appropriate to display it on a memorial.
Also, please do not leave "flowers" with additional information or corrections. We contributors do not receive notification of "flowers" placed on memorials we manage. If you have additions or corrections, use the "Edits" feature.
[To Find A Grave Admin: In the case of my demise, please transfer all my memorials to my cousin Don Ludwig (#48084204)].

I am sure that it will help anyone
Looking for her grave
I am sorry I had to mark the stone but it is hard to read I am 76 and my eyes are not as good as they once were
I think most people looking at her stone would just walk on by it is so hard I feel the the information is preserved now and I posted one with the way the stone looked before it is hard for me to get up and down too

Margaret, thanks for including Miller Watkins as the son of Maria Miller and Jabez. As a descendant of Miller, we were told of Jabez not acknowledging his son. I visited the Watkins Museum a few years ago and left family Bible copies and other documents to add to their history to include generations of Jabez' descendants. We really exist and it is good to be acknowledged.

Hi, I am not the memorial manager on any of these memorials, just photographing the stones. But I did submit an edit to link Carl McLaughlin #129102398 to his adoptive mother Geneva #58559338 and adoptive father Lewis #58559657. You might want to check back to see if they get linked and to add any bio info to clarify.
I have not found his parents on find a grave, Henry & Ella, but will keep an eye open as I photograph this cemetery.
happy hunting, kathy

Hi, I see you have Geneva's memorial in Coloma cemetery, Rock Falls. I have just added a photo of that plot that shows what I think is another son of Geneva & Lewis Portner. Take a look at #129102398 for Carl F. McLaughlin which says he is an adopted son of L & G Portner.
I hesitated to link him as I don't know the family but thought I would let you know he was there.
happy hunting, kathy

I have a question concerning the details added to 151546417. The write up lists the children of Elizabeth and James Keenan- I including a Mary Keenan- Do you know who Mary Keenan married? I am searching for a Mary Keenan (with a mother named Elizabeth) who married Charles Conley.

Hi Margaret, I added a photo for Raymond E. Sprinkle memorial (147302428) If you would like to couple Ruby H. Sprinkle (160828149) to his memorial it is now available to you. Hope this makes your memorials a bit more complete now... Take care.....
|Tammy Anne Beckett||Sallie and James Sprinkles|
Hello, I was photographing the Maple Ridge Cemetery in Carmi, IL. I have a photo of a James born May 4 1870 died March 20 1917 and Sarah born Sept 18 1875 died Oct 31 1949. Could they be Sallie Find A Grave#166635533 and James Find A Grave#102715210? If so I will post the photo.
