Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born at Faulkton and raised in the village of Wecota, both in Faulk County, SD. I have lived in Minneapolis, MN for some time. My parents are now living in Faulkton and when I visit them I check for requests in that area.

I am particularly pleased to have added to this database two small abandoned territorial-era cemeteries there; the Myron Congregational and Sod Church (a/k/a Myron Baptist) cemeteries.

The Millard cemetery is another one that dates from Faulk Co. pioneer days that I have surveyed and added, with my research buddy Dennise Harmon.

PERMISSION

Anyone has permission to copy my photographs only for non-commercial purposes, with attribution, in a manner and context that is not offensive. This permission includes adding my photos to other record entries or locations. But please ask first.
Especially if you are a relative I do not yet know!

PET PEEVE

One of my pet peeves is when I provide updates and the creator of the Find A Grave memorial turns over the management to me without adding the info or me asking to manage it. I am finally realizing I need to save the info I send- most times in the past I have not.

EDITS

To get anything added to a page, please use the EDIT tab on the upper right corner and then the top line that says "suggest . ." Also use this method to contact me regarding incorrect information, adding additional information, linking married couples and their children etc. The linking tool is built into the edit tab now, so please use it.

PHOTO RESCUER
I'm a photo rescuer; I often find old photos- and the occasional Bible- at thrift stores for a dollar or two with information written on the back of them. I try to find a family researcher to give the photo to and I will look for their Findagrave site to add the picture there.

Thanks.

Frederick Lepper
Hi Kent, the information you have on Frederick Lepper from the Green Hill Cemetery in Amsterdam, NY, do you know if that was the Frederick who is the brother, father or grandfather to Jacob Lepper? I have started to get them confused lol.

Thanks,
Andy

Carl Family
Hello Kent,
I see that you have added the photo of Washington Carl. I am hoping he is a family member. I am trying to help a gal get into DAR. I need to proof that Washington is the son of Daniel and Sarah Inman Carl. I got his obit and it says he was raised by his uncle Elzie Carl which was his father's brother, but I have a good line with the Inman's if I can proof Washington was the son of Daniel & Sarah. Any help is appreicated. Doreen

Frank Becvar
Hi Kent, I wasn't able to find any record of Frank's burial in the St. Wenceslaus cemetery but I did have his wife's obit; just hadn't gotten around to posting it yet. I've suggested that edit so you should see it by now. Good luck on your search for Frank. Deb

Hi,
I did some research ahead of time to try and locate where the ___ Mather d 1828 gravestone is for your PR. I found it on Ancestry in the Hale Listings as Elizabeth Mather who d 29 September 1828.
I went up to this cemetery today and found the gravestone. Unfortunately many of the gravestones in this area are shaded by a large overhanging pine tree and so are in the shadows all the time. I will see if my gravestone photo is an improvement. I just looked and I took a close-up photo of her name...may post that. Although I know by posting it, your PR will be removed. Certainly if you want, you can re-post your PR.
I do not touch/clean the lichen off the stone etc of the gravestones..only moving leaves to get a better photograph. Many cemeteries do not allow gravestone rubbings as it removes part of the stone in the process. I also never use chalk as it leaves a harmful residue on the stone even if it is washed off.
I will send an edit to the memorial page creator to add the name of Elizabeth.

Leon Joseph Rofidal
I apologize for not using the Edit tab for this but my browser doesn't work with Captiva. There are two memorials for Leon Joseph Rofidal, the first one was created on 17 August 2012. The duplicate memorial was created by you on 29 June 2015. Since your memorial has the later date, I would appreciate it if you would delete your memorial. Thanks.

Actually, her mother did pass a month after she was born, I had the wrong Sophia up. I put in for corrections on the memorial, they have wrong information. I got the picture off Ancestry. I just added a couple more pictures on Sophia and Ella's memorial.

Hi, Sophia married John Dufik. She is the daughter of Mathias Pesicka and Anna Sheit Pesicka. I do not have her date of death a month after the baby Sophia. I have Sophia Dufik born 1899 with her mother Sophia passing in 1899.

My great aunt married Matthias's brother James Pesicka. Eva Miley.

So I would be related by cousin I believe :--)

Not sure where I found the picture, either another member on Ancestry or my aunt had it. :-)

If you need any more info feel free to ask, my tree is pretty accurate :-)
