I love doing genealogy. The search for our ancestors and their stories have intrigued me beyond my own imagination. I love walking the old cemeteries and then, the search that comes with them. I hope I can help another person in their research.|
Please, do not add death certificates to the memorials I have created. Sometimes, they can be hurtful to family members. Also, any pictures or information I have added, feel free to use them. It would be nice to have credit for them.

|A Harwell-Brown||John Henry Knotts 115641602|
I was interested in your listing of John Henry Knott's burial in Pioneer Rest Cemetery and wondered what your source was, if you don't mind my asking.
When I was working on Pioneer in 2004, I had listed him as a "possible" burial and put him on my Menard TxGenWeb site as "unmarked" in Pioneer with a question mark.
About 2009, a descendent contacted me and asked me to remove it, stating he would have been buried with his wife, not with the Braly family in Menard. I've been looking through my files to find whether I was given a source for their information, but haven't located anything.
Anyway....you "peaked" my curiosity, so I thought I would ask.
Thanks so much for your help with his cemetery and with the other Irwin information.

Was Jasper Richard "Jacob" Caviness married?
My Cavaness history lists Jake Caviness/Cavaness as the son of Thomas Matthew Cavanss and Mary E. Carney. I would like to know if Jake and Jacob are the same person?
Contact me at my email address.

Yes, Connie, please let me know if I have George W. with the wrong parents! All I have to go by is Ancestry.com and other peoples' trees.

Wish I could help you, but I am not related to Lois. I look for public pictures on ancestry.com that I can match to FindAGrave memorials. I post these pictures with the hope family, friends and future generations, might find a picture they have never seen before.

I think I have now entered all the information about the Neal families that I have available. Still have many broken stones and lots of cactus to remove but we have made great progress. If you have info on the Neals and spouses, let me know and I will add it.
You state on Harriet's memorial that her husband, William, died from complications due to his service during the civil war....do you have any documentation that we can refer back to on this. We did not find it on her civil war pension application. Thank you, Nancy

|Susan Zmrzel||RE: Edward Gilbert|
I noticed that your source said "existing remains exhumed and placed in a solitary grave on the property. There is a plaque dedicated to the unknown buried pioneers on the school grounds."
When I documented the Mountain View Cemetery in Kingman I was given 3 note books of records stating who was buried in the cemetery. This is were I got the information on the burial of Edward Gilbert.
Since your above quoted source said the remains (with no names) were all placed in a solitary grave does not mean Edward Gilbert was one of those bodies.
I would say Edward is buried in Mountain View Cemetery and there is no headstone for him.
If you find proof that he is buried in the pioneer cemetery then I will change it.
