Retired in 2005, and was led into family searching by a friend. Am hooked, lined and sunk. Found this website by accident and it has been a boon already. My family interests are Murdocks in Crawford Co. KS and Noble Co. Ohio, Burch and Jones around Carlinville IL. There are naturally many other branches. If anyone out there is searching these let me know and we can compare notes. I am relatively new at this game so don't have a lot, but have managed to find a couple of relatives that had been "lost". |
I have posted memorials for people who are no relation, but they were in a cemetery I was walking. If there are errors, transfer of ownership, deletion requests let me know and it will happen.

|Sue Tanner||Bornholdt, Peter H..|
Hi, Just wondering if you have anymore info on the above named person. I have a Katie Bornholdt buried here in Spokane, Wa and would like to link her to her husband. She was B. in 1872 and in Germany. All I have on her husband is his initials--P.H. and the fact that they divorced. One son by name of Charles or Carl.

Thanks for getting a picture of Herbert Ashton Norton's gravestone. It also has his second wife's name, Mabel on it. My grandfather was from Herbert's first marriage to Mary Alice Wells who was known as Allie. My great grandmother died young in her early 40's. Actually, my mother was one year older than her uncle, because of my great grandfather marrying again later on and having children with Mabel.
Are you related or did you get a picture of it for someone else?
Oh, and I like your kilt.

Wondering if you are related?
If so, are you interested in sharing family information? These are my husband's 3rd great grandchildren.
I have information on the children if you are interested.

I am unable to read the biblical inscription on Aron's headstone. By any chance, is the original photograph more legible? I am trying to relate this to the inscription on the headstone of his first wife, Cornelia Olive (Whorton) who is buried at Old Summit Cemetery in Schoharie County, NY. Cornelia is the mother of Aron's four children.
Fyi, it is not clear to me if Aron's second wife, Sophia, is actually buried at Rosehill Cemetery though her name is on the headstone.
